Our story starts with God's perfect timing. There were so many times in college that we should have crossed paths. Living on the same floor of our Freshman year dorm. Working at the same summer camp different years. Having dozens of mutual friends. The list goes on. But God knew exactly when we needed to meet.

We had played pickleball a couple of times Junior year and had gone to a date party together. I caught Nate's eye a couple of times but I made it clear that I was not looking for a relationship. This all changed at the beginning of our Senior year at Texas A&M when Nate moved in across the street from me on Montclair Avenue. Spending more time around me, Nate was motivated to ask me on what he calls a "PDI" (a pre-date inspection). I apparently passed with flying colors and immediately after he asked me on a real date. I said yes, but our schedules struggled to align. After agreeing on a time for the date, something came up on my calendar and I had to be in Houston. Nate was not going to let me get out of it that easily so he drove me to Houston, waited in the car for an hour and a half while I was at an event, and took me on the best first date after. Our relationship officially started on October 10, 2024. At first, I had my guard up, but Nate patiently pursued me and sure enough here we are!

This past year has been one of learning, leaning on the Lord, and trying to love each other the way Christ loved us. We are so confident that we are exactly where the Lord wants us! We are humbled that the Lord has given us each other to serve His kingdom. For the praise of His glory!!
