Dylan and I met at Citizen Burger Bar on January 17, 2020.

Originally, Dylan and his friends were all supposed to go to another restaurant to eat dinner that Friday night. But for some reason, they changed their minds, and came to eat at Citizen Burger Bar instead.

I had worked at the hospital all day and I was not originally scheduled to work that Friday night. My manager asked me if I could work that night, and with a heavy sigh, I agreed to come in.

But these weird coincidences kept happening.

I asked my friend Leah to sit Dylan and his friends in my section when they first walked in. She took them to a booth, sat them down, turned around to lock eyes with me, and gave me a huge smile with a thumbs up. But that booth was not part of my section.

In true Tera fashion, I stomped to the back of the restaurant to pout. It hadn't been long, and someone came to tell me that I had a table. I walked into the dining room and there they were, sitting at a table in my section. I remember somehow managing to bring up their move to them when I was introducing myself. They said they moved because they "didn't want to shimmy in and out of the booth" to get up. It was such a guy thing to say, but I couldn't have been happier.

We didn't know it in that moment, but everything continued to fall perfectly into place from that night forward. Now, here we are, all these years later, planning our wedding.
