Terence and Kalin met in Lubbock, Texas in 2021. They quickly bonded over their shared love of "red dirt" music and Texas culture, just like that, a friendship was born.

Near the end of 2021, Terence had received a job opportunity that would allow him to move down to South Texas and be closer to his boys. While leaving the Panhandle was tough, being closer to Rylan and Grayson was an easy choice.

Kalin and Terence remained friends while Kalin stayed in Lubbock to finish her PhD at Texas Tech University and Terence moved to New Braunfels (only about 10 minutes away from her hometown) in early 2022. Upon arriving though, he was welcomed by having his pickup stolen his first week in town. Kalin was able to make a few phone calls and secure Terence a hot meal and the use of a washer and dryer at her Mom and Dad's place.

The two became closer after this and decided to date long-distance while Kalin finished up at school. While living almost 7 hours apart wasn't easy, being best friends made it worth it. The year continued and like most people, life threw some curveballs but they had each other to lean on.

Kalin graduated with her doctorate in 2023 and moved down to New Braunfels to join Terence and be closer to family. They both have been so lucky to have found each other and built up the wonderful network of family and friends surrounding them. They kindly ask you to join them in celebrating their commitment to one another.
