Our Wedding

We both attended Western Connecticut State University, but our paths didn’t cross there... instead, we met online! After chatting and getting to know each other, we went on our first date at Mariposa in Danbury. From that night on, we knew there was something truly special between us. Falling in love with each other felt natural because our personalities complement each other perfectly. We’re both goofy, share the same sense of humor, and have values that align in the most meaningful ways. Every conversation, inside joke, and shared experience has deepened the bond we share, and it’s hard to imagine life without each other. Our love has grown through countless little moments that make every day together so special. Since that first date, we’ve made so many incredible memories, with adventures in New Hampshire, Lake Winnipesaukee, Teresa's first trip to Disney in Florida, and a beach vacation in Rhode Island. One of our favorite ways to connect and celebrate life has been through live music. We have attended countless unforgettable concerts and love discovering new musicians together. On August 4th, 2024, we got engaged at Benmarl Winery in Marlboro, NY, in the beautiful Hudson Valley. It was a moment we’ll never forget and one that marked the start of the next chapter in our lives together. Along the way, we’ve also had the joy of getting to know each other’s families. They've welcomed us with open arms from the very beginning, and it’s easy to see why they already feel like family. Their love and support have made our journey even richer, and we feel so lucky to be blending our lives and families together. We’ve also become proud “parents” to three amazing cats, who bring joy, humor, and a little chaos to our everyday lives. Each and every day, we continue to learn, grow, and fall more in love with each other. Our relationship is built on friendship, trust, laughter, shared workouts, and live music; culminating in an unshakable love. We can’t wait to continue this adventure together, surrounded by all of these things for years to come.

Teresa is lucky enough to call Melissa her oldest sister. With a 13-year age gap, Melissa has practically doubled as a second mother, guiding and occasionally teasing (all in the name of love, of course!). Through every stage of life, she’s been a constant source of laughter, support, and wisdom, both personally and professionally.

She’s the person who can always make Teresa laugh and knows exactly what to say when things get tough. Her heart, strength, and unwavering loyalty make her the perfect Matron of Honor. Having her by Teresa’s side on this special day is more meaningful than words can express.

Teresa is so lucky to have two Matrons of Honor. Jillian isn’t just a Matron of Honor; she’s Teresa's built-in best friend and confidant since day one. As the middle sister, Jillian loved to joke around and boss Teresa around with a sense of humor that made even the “rules” fun. Growing up together meant countless inside jokes, shared secrets, and a lifetime of memories that have only made their bond stronger.

Jillian has always been there for advice, laughter, and the occasional reality check. It only makes sense that she’d stand by Teresa's side on one of the most important days of her life.

It’s hard to imagine anyone more perfect for the role of Best Man than Glenn. As Austen’s dad, he’s been a guiding presence, a source of wisdom, and a lifelong supporter through every stage of life. Beyond his advice and encouragement, he brings humor, warmth, and a steadfast heart that has shaped the person Austen is today. Having him stand by Austen’s side on this special day makes the celebration even more meaningful, honoring the bond between parent and child while adding a touch of love, laughter, and family pride to the ceremony. Austen says this is a very easy choice, as there is no one who has been a better man throughout his life than his dad.

Teresa and Kaija have been best friends since middle school, long before they ever imagined planning weddings or navigating adulthood. Over the years, their bond has grown into something more like sisterhood, built on countless memories, laughter, and unwavering support.

Kaija has been there for it all: the late-night talks, the inside jokes, and every milestone along the way. Her loyalty, humor, and huge heart make her an irreplaceable part of Teresa’s life. Having her stand by Teresa’s side as a Bridesmaid is both an honor and a celebration of a lifelong friendship.

Teresa and Isabella have shared so many memories over the years, from spontaneous adventures to endless laughs and heart-to-heart talks. She’s the kind of friend who feels more like family: always supportive, full of joy, and ready to bring the fun wherever she goes. Teresa and Isabella have been best friends since middle school.

Isabella has been by Teresa’s side through every chapter of life, and it’s only fitting she’ll be there again on this special day. Her kindness, energy, and love mean the world, and the celebration wouldn’t be complete without her as one of Teresa’s Bridesmaids.

Even though they haven’t known each other forever, Hannah has become one of those rare friends who feels like she’s always been there. Her kindness, positivity, and ability to brighten any room make her such a special part of Teresa's life. Having her stand beside her as a Bridesmaid is a true honor, and just the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

Teresa feels so lucky to not only be marrying the love of her life, but also to be gaining Cierra as family. From the moment they met, Cierra welcomed her with open arms, bringing laughter, warmth, and an instant sense of belonging.

It’s easy to see why she’s such an important part of Austen’s life; her kindness and genuine heart shine through in everything she does. Having her as a Bridesmaid means the world to Teresa, and she’s so excited to officially call her sister soon.

Little Ellie is the adorable flower girl who’s sure to steal everyone’s hearts on the big day! With her bright smile and sweet spirit, she brings so much joy to the celebration. Ellie loves dancing to the YMCA, and she can’t wait to sprinkle petals down the aisle for Teresa and Austen. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our wedding day!

William is our charming Ring Bearer, ready to carry the rings down the aisle with pride! Full of energy, laughter, and love, he’s sure to bring smiles to everyone on the big day. William loves baseball, and we couldn’t imagine our wedding without him taking part in such an important role.

CJ isn’t just a Groomsman, he’s soon-to-be family as the husband of Melissa, the bride’s sister. I’ve never had a brother before, and I can’t wait to gain one in him. He’s already shown me incredible examples of fatherhood as the loving dad to my future niece and nephew, Willy and Ellie.

Beyond family, CJ and I share a love for baseball and fitness, which has given us countless great conversations and memories along the way. His dedication, humor, and big heart make him a perfect addition to the wedding party and an even more amazing addition to my family.

Carl isn’t just a Groomsman, he’s soon-to-be family as the husband of Jillian, the bride’s sister. I’ve never had a brother before, and I couldn’t be more excited to gain one in Carl. He’s a talented painter who takes pride in his craft, and we can’t wait for our future house to be filled with his “The Fine Paints of Europe”.

Beyond his artistic talent, Carl and Jillian are the ultimate dog parents, showing just how much love and care they bring to everything they do. His creativity, humor, and kind heart make him a perfect addition to the wedding party and an even better addition to my family.

Carl Carlisle 

Joe isn’t just the guy who dates my sister, he’s been a part of my life long before the two of them started their relationship. We share a love for baseball, and for a time, Joe was also my pitching coach. For years, we trained together with the same trainer, showing up consistently and putting in the work.

Having Joe standing beside me on this special day means a lot. His dedication, loyalty, and sense of humor make him someone you always want in your corner, and I couldn’t ask for a better person to share this moment with.

Nimo has been a best friend since childhood, and it’s hard to imagine growing up without him by my side. From playing high school football together to countless late nights talking, debating sports, and dominating in video games, he’s been there through it all.

His loyalty, humor, and competitive spirit make him not just a lifelong friend, but the perfect Groomsman to stand by me on this special day. Having Nimo in the wedding party is a celebration of the memories we’ve shared and the bond that will last a lifetime.

Zach and I have been side by side through nearly every stage of life, starting all the way back at Chatfield Elementary and continuing through college, where we were roommates at Western Connecticut University. Baseball has been a constant in our friendship, with Zach always behind the plate as my catcher, from our early days as kids to winning a state championship together in high school, and continuing to catch me in college.

Through every game, late-night conversation, and milestone in life, Zach has been a true teammate, loyal friend, and brother in every sense of the word. Having him stand by me as a Groomsman is a celebration of a lifelong friendship built on trust, laughter, and countless memories.

Even though we haven’t known each other for a long time, it honestly feels like we’ve been friends forever. We bonded over baseball, brewery adventures, and many rounds of golf. Fun fact: we actually met through Teresa’s best friend, Isabella… so Izzy, you better marry him! Danny has been an amazing friend, and I’m so lucky to have him standing by my side on this special day.

Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury

To make travel easy for our guests, we’ve arranged transportation through Elite Limousine of Connecticut. Shuttles will run between the 122 Mill Plain Rd Parking and Hotel Zero&nbsp;and our reception venue. This will ensure that everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about driving or parking. The shuttles will depart the Park &amp; Ride and Hotel Zero Degrees at 3:45 PM, with return trips provided at the end of the reception. We encourage guests to take advantage of this service for a smooth, safe, and stress-free ride to and from the reception!
