Our Wedding

We met at Kmart in 1981 at the age of 17. Jeff, a stockman and Teresa worked in the grill/deli.After dating for five years, we were married on July 26, 1986, both 22 yrs old.Jeff was working at Kmart in the management position and Teresa at Physicians Mutual at the time of marriage.Over the years, we had career changes, 3 kids and now 2 Grandkids.We learned early in our marriage that life is short, as Teresa's grandma and Jeff's dad died shortly after the wedding. We have encountered many ups and downs, with lots of sadness and challenges, but also, so many more uplifting, beautiful times. We continue to live life to the fullest and keep the good times rolling! We are excited to be celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary with you all. Let's make more great memories together!

FLIGHTS AND TRAINS 

Jeff and I are staying here now. The Grand Hotel Terme was out of our budget but you are welcome to stay there! There are no rooms blocked.Right in front of the lake and a few steps from the historical city center. This hotel features pools with thermal waters, spa, free English breakfast.

Hotel Sirmione Terme

This hotel has only 20 rooms and is over 300 yrs old. Jeff and I stayed here in 2024. It's just minutes walking distance from Hotel Terme. It has a rooftop patio with an amazing view. No pool.Free amazing breakfast included.

Hotel degli Oleandri

There are no rooms blocked here but its just a few minutes walk from Hotel Terme.Family owned and one of the first hotels in Sirmione. Offers a sun terrace overlooking the lake. No pool.You can reserve a room with breakfast as an option.

Flaminia

There is no pool here but a lovely hotel to include breakfast. Cakes made by the hotel's own pastry chef are part of the breakfast that guests enjoy on the lakefront terrace. There are also a garden and sun terrace, and the hotel provides free bikes.

Travel

Many shops and Restaurants are within Sirmione Old Town. You can walk to everything. There is a public beach, a marina, a castle, a couple old churches, visit Grotto De Cattulus and Jamaica Beach, along with ferries to other islands. The Marina is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. You can take a boat on your own if you want.A nearby town called, Desenzano is about a 10 min taxi ride away. More bars and restaurants to explore.

Verona is about a 25 min ride from Old Town of Sirmione.

Day trip to Verona, Italy

optional tour to Limone. This place is known for beautiful bike rides or walks along the lake. Quaint little village.

Limone del garda

Supposed to be very charming and beautiful.Sirmione city center has a marina nearby with water taxi's. You can book to go to other islands on your own time.

Giardino dell’Isola del Garda

If you look on viator.com, and enter Sirmione, you will see many day trips you can take from Sirmione. You can even do a long day trip to Venice without booking an overnight in Venice.

Day trip to Venice 

This tour is best if you plan to stay in Venice as it's less expensive. However, you can try to get there from Sirmione, it will just cost you more. We tried to go last year from Venice but due to the time of the year and snow, we had to cancel it.
