Teresa and Marcus met at Gettysburg College through mutual friends their sophomore year. They talked once about Bull Sharks at a house get-together, where Teresa comments on that she was pleasantly surprised at how intelligent and profound Marcus was, but went their separate ways, seeing each other in passing around campus throughout the next year. Marcus says he remembers seeing Teresa hammocking behind the Science Center and thinking to himself "Now that's a girl I would marry", as he reflected on her 'beauty and child-like spirit, as she swung back and forth while reading'.
Fast forward to the spring semester of junior year, Marcus responded to Teresa's social media story about going abroad to Nepal. They connected over Buddhist Philosophy, and after a 5-hour phone call, realized they were both smitten. Marcus, completing a semester at the Duke Marine Lab in NC, showed his commitment early on by waking up at 4am to call Teresa everyday due to the time difference, and Teresa fell even harder for him.
Now, almost 4 years later, Teresa and Marcus have graduated college, traveled across the country, and embarked on many camping trips and outdoor adventures. They have created a beautiful home together and are enjoying co-parenting their cat, Mo. They are excited to continue their love and adventure together as a married couple.
