Mark and Teresa met for the first time at a dive bar in West Haven. Friends were hanging out, drinking Bud Lights and Long Island iced teas. As the night wound down, Teresa got into her car and turned to her best friend, saying, “Wow, he’s cute.” Little did she know, those simple words kicked off their story.

After mustering up the courage, Mark decided to reach out to Teresa off of social media, determined to get her number. From their first encounter, he knew she was the one.

Mark asked Teresa out on their first official date to the Cheesecake Factory. Over plates of Baja Chicken Tacos for Mark and a Chicken Farm Sandwich for Teresa, they laughed and clicked over their love of good food. From then on, they were practically inseparable and made it a thing to celebrate a lot of anniversaries at the Cheesecake Factory!

Mark finally asked Teresa to officially be his girlfriend. Took him long enough!

After lots of adventures and love, Mark and Teresa were on vacation in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. Mark had the whole proposal planned out—without Teresa knowing! After a stormy start and some luggage drama, Mark was a bundle of nerves. But once the weather cleared, he suggested they hit the pool for a tropical drink.

Mark then casually mentioned they had a dinner reservation for their "anniversary," which confused Teresa since she’d already made plans for every night. As they got ready, Mark was sweating it out in the Jamaican heat, trying to stay cool.

He led Teresa to a secluded gazebo overlooking the water, with candles lighting a path to a beautiful table set for two. Mark got down on one knee and asked Teresa to spend forever with him.
