Tyler and Terra first met in January 2018 when Terra was living in Statesboro, GA, and Tyler was living in Savannah, GA on Tinder! Tyler asked Terra to brunch at Soho South on January 21, 2018. Little did he know brunch was her favorite meal, so she gladly said yes. They both felt like they had known each other for years when it was only their first date. After that, they continuously saw each other almost every weekend and their dogs, Hazel and Kingsley, became best friends.

In May 2018, they went to the Hangout Musical Festival in Gulf Shores, AL. Tyler thought he would be moving to Austin, TX for work, so they had a big decision to make on this trip regarding their relationship. Fortunately, Tyler did not move to Austin, TX, however, he did move to Orlando, FL for work. They would travel to each other every other weekend and made long-distance work.
