Christopher Lee Dick was born on November 9th, 1996, in Huntington, WV, to Kelley Barker and John Dick. After graduating from Huntington High School in 2015, Chris pursued his education at Marshall University, earning a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences in 2020. His career path then led him to CCAC in Pittsburgh, PA, where he completed a certificate in Radiation Therapy in 2021. Chris began his professional journey as a Radiation Technologist (R.T.(R)(T)) at the Markey Cancer Center at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY, in November 2021.
Terri Katharyn Briemer was born on January 18th, 1999, in Rochester, NY, to Leah Deaton Briemer and John Richard Briemer. In 2001, her family moved to Lawrenceburg, KY, where she later graduated from Anderson County High School in 2017. Terri attended Midway University and earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) in May 2022. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in the Medicine ICU at the UK Medical Center in August 2022.
We believe that every love story is unique, but ours truly feels like fate brought us together. Here’s how it happened…

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2022, both of us found ourselves quarantined—Terri at home on her birthday and Chris in Lexington, having moved there a few months prior. Both feeling isolated and seeking some connection, we turned to the dating app Tinder, more out of boredom than expectation. Tinder’s chat feature, which matched users based on similar answers to questions, became our unexpected matchmaker.
We couldn’t see each other’s pictures initially, only engaging in conversation. It was during these chats that we felt an incredible connection. When the time came to reveal our photos after choosing to continue our conversation, we both swiped right. Not only did we discover a physical attraction, but our personalities meshed perfectly.
Our initial conversations turned into daily phone calls that lasted for hours, solidifying our bond before we even met in person. When we finally did meet, it felt like destiny.
