Their love story began shortly after the world shut down. With the quiet streets, empty restaurants, and everyone binging the newest Netflix series, Tess and Matt decided to take their mutual friend, Desiree's advice, and reach out to one another. They spent the next few days messaging back and forth about the craziness that had began with Covid-19, and decided to have their first date at Tess' apartment with takeout and New Girl in March of 2020. Since there was nothing else to do, their dates quickly developed into walks through Tess' neighborhood and cuddly movie nights on Matt's couch. One night, Matt even made Tess learn how to play Roller Coaster Tycoon, and she knew he was the one. His charm, gentleness, and goofy sense of humor had her hooked. They finally got their first date in the real world two months into their relationship.Just five months into dating, the couple was dragged down from catching Covid-19. They quarantined together for three weeks and figured - "if we can get through that, we can get through anything!" They moved into Tess' small studio apartment a few months later.In April of 2021, Tess and Matt rescued Maya and welcomed her into their home. The four legged spunky and spoiled girl quickly became their world. She taught them to have patience, unconditional love, lots of treats, and grace with one another; even in times when their patience was running low. Some of their favorite adventures to include Maya on are camping, going to local breweries, and nature walks.One sunny day in November 2021, the couple had made plans with their friend Katie to take Christmas card pictures at a local tree farm. The day was magically beautiful with fresh snowfall, bright sunshine..and freezing Wisconsin temperatures. After a few poses, Katie told Tess to close her eyes while Matt gave her a big bear hug. Tess opened her eyes to see the love of her life down on one knee with tears in his eyes and a beautiful diamond ring in his hand! She said yes and they immediately headed back to their hometowns to celebrate with their families.Tess and Matt had been waiting for each other for 25 years. They are so excited and blessed to celebrate with you, their closest loved ones, as they promise to love each other for another 100 years!
