On a warm summer night, under a blanket of stars, fate had its own plans as we swiped through dating apps, hoping to find either a great date or maybe even true love. Lucky for us, we found both.

Our first date was nothing short of magical. Kyle suggested meeting at the fountain on Coronado Island, a spot Tess initially wasn’t thrilled about—especially with the drive over the Coronado Bridge. Little did she know, she was about to be proven wrong. We headed to the Irish Pub nearby, sharing nachos and a beer while watching the baseball game. After dinner, we took a long walk on the beach, talking for hours. We discovered we share the same birthday, that Kyle is an Oakland A's fan while Tess loves the Dodgers, and so much more. As we neared the Hotel Del, fireworks lit up the sky—not just the ones we were feeling in our hearts, but actual fireworks! It felt like the universe was celebrating with us. To top it all off, we stumbled upon a screening of 'The Goonies' on a giant inflatable screen. We watched Chunk, Sloth, and the gang save the day, wrapping up what was truly the best first date ever.

Since then, we've fallen more and more in love with each passing year. We've traveled to new places, moved twice, lived through a pandemic, started new careers, and celebrated major milestones together. Each step has strengthened our bond, and we've embarked on an incredible adventure that we know will last a lifetime.
