On the same date as her parent's anniversary, Jacob officially asked Tessa to be his girlfriend. After a missed Promposal, years apart, a brief hot tub encounter, and a year of studying abroad in London, we learned the meaning of serendipity.

We dated long-distance during Tessa's senior year at Trinity, visiting each other every few weeks. Jacob learned the quickest route up the Pike. Tessa learned how to pull an all-nighter finishing her thesis.

We dined at Gibbet Hill for the first time together. Jacob learned how much he loves their special butter. Tessa learned that Jake is really, really into their special butter.

We traveled together internationally for the first time, visiting Greece and Paris. Jacob learned how rude the French can be. Tessa learned how the Greeks love Jake.

We moved into our first apartment together. Jacob learned how to consistently wash the dishes. Tessa learned how to compromise (a little).

We skied together for the first time. Jacob learned that skiing isn't that bad. Tessa learned that Jake is actually better at skiing than her.

After a day at the Museum of Fine Art, Jacob proposed to Tessa in the Kelleher Rose Garden. We celebrated with our families that night at the town fireworks.
