Our love story began in July 2011 in Washington, DC. We met at Howard University hospital during one of Tony's Pediatric rotations at Howard University Medical School. Theo was working at the child development center after she graduated Howard University. After numerous conversations our first date was at Buca di Beppo. It was such a unique situation for Theo considering Tony took time to learn about her family. In doing so, we developed a genuine friendship. 8 years of traveling together, countless memories, and an abundance of support we knew that we were meant for each other.

The Proposal:

February 14, 2019 Tony took Theo on a date to their favorite restaurant at Buca Di Beppo. Totally unexpected he started an argument with Theo about how Valentine's Day is a made up holiday for women and how does someone know if they were meant to be with someone forever. Theo confused to where all this was coming from couldn't help but think he was crazy. Tony then proceeded to convince Theo to turn around and look behind her and when she turned around she could not believe it. There it was. THE RING!!!!!!! Shocked and in disbelief Tony looked at Theo with ring in hand and asked Theo to be his wife. Of course Theo said yes. A journey long awaited for it finally happened and we could not be any happier.
