Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony will be at 2pm at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury, MA. The reception will be at 5pm at Cobblestones in Lowell, MA. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP right here on our website! Just type in your name and you can RSVP for you and anyone else in your party. We ask that you RSVP by September 30, 2022.
I've never been to a Catholic ceremony before, how does that work?
Don't worry if you are not Catholic or if you are not familiar with how a church ceremony goes! The main thing you need to know is that a Catholic ceremony is a little bit longer than a secular ceremony (sorry!). We will not be doing a full mass, however, so there will be no communion and it will be slightly shorter as far as Catholic ceremonies go.
You are welcome to participate with the responses during the ceremony, but we also understand that many, if not most, of our guests are not Catholic, so feel free to respond to whatever degree you are comfortable. Either way, please be respectful of the environment and the setting.
This is the church in which Theresa grew up and first explored music in the choir, so it is a very meaningful place for her. :)
Why the big gap between the ceremony and reception?
Catholic ceremonies on Saturdays have to take place earlier in the day so that we are out of there before late afternoon masses. During this time, the bridal party and families will be taking photos. You can use this time to travel to the reception (about a 40 minute drive), check in to the hotel if you are staying, or just hang out at the Cobblestones bar on the first floor of the restaurant.
What do you mean by “casual reception”?
We have rented the top two floors of Cobblestones for our reception, and you are welcome to mingle between the floors as you like! There is no formal sit down dinner, assigned seating, MC, or structured reception. We WILL have a first dance and a father/daughter dance, though! We just want everyone to feel comfortable and to celebrate with us. Think of it more like a party where everyone is slightly more dressed up but can sit wherever they want, mingle with whoever they want, and eat whenever they want.
Will there be an open bar or cash bar?
Drinks are on us for the first 2 hours! After that, guests can pay for their drinks by cash or card.

Cobblestones Accessibility
Unfortunately, there is NO elevator to get to the 2nd and 3rd floors at our reception (it is a historical building), but if you need any assistance at all, the staff would be more than happy to help. There are chairs at each landing to get upstairs, and each flight of stairs is relatively short as well.
