It all started back in 2021. The pandemic lockdowns were a thing of the past and the world had begun to resemble to a new normal for social interactions. Teresa and Gregory decided it was time to take a chance on love, so they went to the hottest spot in town. . . the internet. Yes, they met online through the Facebook dating app. It started off with online conversations and eventually they exchanged phone numbers and began talking on the phone. After a few months of phone conversations, they wanted to take their relationship one step further and made the decision to meet in person. There was an instant connection when they met in person. After meeting in person, they continued to talk on the phone and get to know each other better. That's when Greg figured he'd make a bold move. Now wait, this isn't where he pops the question yet. Slow down!!! This love story takes time, so let's be patient. **Back to the story** Greg's bold move was he wanted to ask Teresa to be his girlfriend...officially. Their chemistry so far was great, so why not? The thing is, he was too nervous to ask her in person because he said Teresa was "so serious all the time." So how did he do it? On February 26, 2021, he sent her a text asking this important question. Ah yes, the new age of communication, right? Teresa was still a little hesitant because she wanted to protect her heart, so she said "we'll see how it goes." That answer was good enough for Greg at the time. On March 11, 2021, Teresa and Greg went on their first official date. It was a double date with her son, Denzel and a friend. They went to see, "Uncharted" at the theater. Afterwards, Teresa dropped her son off and she and Greg decided to grab something to eat to talk some more. Unfortunately, most places were closed by the time they went out, so they swooped through the Arby's drive through and sat in the car eating and talking for a while. It was a good time because they went on several more dates, and even established a regular date night.

A Different Kind of Love

It was October 7, 2021. Teresa had a rough week as her mother has passed away on October 2nd. Greg wanted to do everything he could to support and comfort Teresa, but she wasn't having it. Teresa had finished volunteering with her Sister2Sister group when Greg asked her to come over. She was hesitant because she wasn't in the mood and just wanted to go home and rest. Greg insisted saying that he wanted her to come over because he had a gift for her. When Teresa walked in, there was smooth R&amp;B music playing in the background and Greg had food ready. Teresa wanted eat first, but Greg insisted she get her gift before she eats. Even though she was hangry, Teresa hesitantly agreed to wait until she received her gift. That's when Greg handed Teresa some flowers and proceeded to get down on one knee. In shock, Teresa knocked him over and said, "stop playing.". That's when she saw the ring and knew Greg was serious and wasn't playing. Greg recovered and got back on his knee and asked Teresa if she would spend the rest of her life with him. SHE SAID YES!!!! To keep the love alive, they continue dating and getting to know each other more, building a stronger foundation for their marriage and relationship.
