It was the summer of 2022...August to be exact when we met. Jon had recently moved to Duluth and was starting to work at Voyageur Bus Company. Joe Krois, Jon's faithful cousin, decided it would be a good idea to introduce him to Theresa, who is an administrative assistant at Joe's daughter's elementary school. Little did Jon know that he was going to meet the love of his life.

Fast forward to March 2023, when Jon finally got Theresa's cell phone number. He texted her out of the blue and decided to make his move by using work as an excuse to start talking. Theresa really didn't think anything of Jon's actions and thought he was just reaching out about work. They started texting more and more. They would talk on the phone at work even more now and Theresa would think of dumb excuses to call Jon about, just so she could talk to him. This went on for a week or two. Finally, Jon asked Theresa out and she denied him...not once, but twice. Theresa then thought maybe she should give Jon a chance. Their first date was spent talking and laughing for hours.

Jon and Theresa started officially dating in April of 2023. And then on Friday October 18th, 2024, Jon got down on one knee in his living room just the two of them and asked her "I love doing life with you, will you marry me?" Theresa cried and followed his question with a resounding yes.

Here we are now planning our wedding and counting down the days until we are husband and wife. We are excited to celebrate with all those we love.
