Tommy and Madi went to school within 20 minutes of eachother their whole lives. Somehow, they did not cross paths until Madi’s senior year at Sheldon, and Tommy’s Sophomore year at George Little Rock. They were both a part of a teen ministry called TEC where you get together 3 times a year to host a weekend ministry for highschool students. Tommy claims he saw Madi in June of 2021 and thought she was super cute, but Madi says she saw Tommy for the first time in November of 2021 when she asked her friends who the cute kid in the flannel was.

Towards the end of November, they started snap chatting and Madi thought he was super funny and cute. A few weeks into December, they planned to go to the Spider-Man movie in theaters… because Tommy was 15, his dad dropped him off at Madi’s house. They went to the movie, and after, Madi had to drive him back home to George. They stopped at The Tabernacle Baptist Church because his family was there at the live nativity. They sat and watched the nativity and and at the end they got to pet camels!! Tommy’s mom invited Madi to come to their house after, so when they got there, Tommy picked out a movie… the Cat in the Hat live action… and Andie sat in between them on the couch. After this date, Madi and Tommy did not talk until the next TEC weekend in March.. we don’t know why😂

When March came around, they both still had an eye for eachother. They had a special moment that weekend where they prayed for eachother, and Madi felt like there could still be something there. She knew she needed a prom date yet for her senior prom, so a week later she decided to ask Tommy. Prom was in a month so they had time to start talking again, and it was very exciting that he said yes. On prom day, they were both nervous, but the day allowed them to break down the walls…. I mean, Madi had hugeeee pit stains as usual in her hot pink, one sleeve prom dress and had to stop home after pictures to have her mom blow dry her armpit and put a pad in her sleeve…😂 Tommy stayed! He made all the tiktoks Madi wanted, and got along with her friend’s boyfriends! They did all the prom things- slow dances, energy drinks, staying up super late and watching “is it cake” on the couch… and they had their first kiss! Awwww🥰 A week later on May 1, 2022, Tommy asked Madi to be his girlfriend… well it was technically May 2 at 12:04am… but Tommy said they would say May 1.

Tommy proposed to Madi on a dock in Okoboji on Saturday September 20, 2025. It was such a magical day, followed by forgetting to go out for supper and eating McDonalds at 9pm while cuddling watching their show talking about EVERYTHING. Their 4 year anniversary will be on May 1, 2026, the day before the wedding!! It has been such an amazing wild ride growing up with eachother but they wouldn’t trade it for the world. 3 years of their relationship was long distance, so they cannot wait to be close and explore their relationship in the Husband and Wife roles:)
