“The best thing we found on the internet” has always been our favorite inside joke. Our story started online, but it truly began during our first date at Sycamore Canyon Park. What was supposed to be a quick meet-up turned into six unforgettable hours of talking, laughing, sharing brownies, and sitting on the swings, lost in conversation. At one point, Thomas’ oldest daughter, who knew he was on a date, thought he had been kidnapped because he’d been gone for so long. From that day on, we’ve been inseparable. Our connection was effortless, our conversation endless—it felt like we had known each other forever. And just like that first date, we’ve continued to set aside time for a weekly date night ever since. And to think, it all started with Kailey hearting Thomas’ profile picture and led to our very own fairy-tale ending.

Our Story 

Kailey and Thomas had planned a trip to Yosemite to spend some quality time together. Weekly date nights had always been a special tradition for them, so this trip felt like the perfect opportunity for Thomas to plan something unforgettable. On their first night, they hiked three miles uphill to Mirror Lake and the Rock Cairns—a place Kailey had visited countless times with family and friends, and her absolute favorite spot in the world. Thomas carried a 50+ pound backpack, casually brushing off its weight, saying it was “super light” and just had a few things for “date night.” As the sun began to set over Half Dome, Thomas strung up twinkling lights, scattered photos of their most cherished memories across a blanket, and played the violin version of “Marry Me” softly through a speaker. Kailey, blindfolded and wearing noise-canceling headphones, had no idea what was unfolding around her. When everything was ready, Thomas guided her to the spot and gently removed her blindfold. Before asking the question, he did his best to hold back tears as he told her how much she means to him and how he can’t imagine life without her. Then, he knelt down and asked, “Will you marry me?” They held each other, both crying tears of joy, fully immersed in a moment they’ll cherish forever. That night, they walked back to their campsite, made s’mores by the fire, and talked about their future—excited to begin the next chapter of their lives together.

Madison isn’t just one of Kailey’s best friends—she’s like family. Their bond has grown over the years through trust, shared adventures and countless memories that are impossible to forget. From being stuck on a bus after the driver crashed it to sprinting through an airport to catch their flight, every experience has been an adventure in itself.

Their friendship is filled with inside jokes like their ongoing quest to find Karl and lighthearted moments that always bring a smile. Countless Disney trips to both Disneyland and Disney World have become a cornerstone of their time together, each one filled with laughter, magic and endless selfies with Disney parade cast members.

There have been spontaneous adventures too, like showing up to the Bug Fair on the wrong year or celebrating “diabetes” during an unforgettable trip to San Francisco. Each moment, whether big or small, has become a cherished memory in the story of their friendship.

Through every laugh, unexpected detour and milestone, Madison has been a constant in Kailey’s life. Their bond is built on loyalty, trust and a shared love for embracing every moment to the fullest. It’s a connection that has carried them through countless adventures with many more still to come.

From the very beginning, Pat has been more than just a friend to Thomas—he’s been family. Their bond grew over years of trust, support, and meaningful moments. Whether it was spending time with Pat and his family or sharing deep conversations, Pat has always been a constant source of comfort and connection.

Their friendship is built on a unique understanding of each other. Whether facing challenges, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying each other’s company, their connection has always felt natural and unspoken. They’ve spent hours together in the gym, pushing each other to grow stronger—not just physically, but in life as well. Thomas has always been there to support Pat in chasing his dreams, while Pat has played an important role in shaping Thomas’s vision for his business.

Some of Thomas’s favorite memories with Pat come from the simplest moments. Whether they were relaxing at the beach, hitting a new personal best in the gym, or sharing meaningful milestones like Thomas standing by Pat’s side at his wedding, every experience strengthened their bond.

Their friendship is a reflection of years of loyalty, trust, and mutual respect. It’s a connection built on showing up, pushing each other to grow, and celebrating life’s milestones together.

Patrick

Jaimee isn’t just one of Kailey’s best friends—she’s like a sister. Their bond has grown over the years through unwavering support, shared struggles, and countless unforgettable moments. Jaimee has been there through some of the hardest and best times of Kailey’s life, always showing up with encouragement and love.

Their friendship has been built on deep conversations and late-night phone calls after long days at work, despite the time zone difference. No matter how far apart they were, those calls became a space for comfort, laughter, and support.

Some of their most memorable adventures include their spontaneous, unprepared hiking trip in Palm Springs, where they found themselves freezing at the top of the Ariel Tram. And who could forget their early days in vet school, navigating their first group together learning a completely new way of teaching, facing challenges, and cheering each other on every step of the way?

Through every late-night conversation, every adventure, and every moment of struggle, Jaimee has been a constant in Kailey’s life. Their friendship is built on trust, resilience, and an unbreakable connection that feels just like sisterhood. It’s a bond that has carried them through so much already, with even more memories waiting to be made.

Stationed together in 29 Palms, California, they served with the Navy alongside the Marine Corps. Countless nights were spent eating Little Caesars pizza, battling it out in Halo matches, and shooting paintballs in the rocky landscapes of Joshua Tree. Whether deployed overseas or passing time back home, Will was always the guy Thomas could count on.

Some of their most unforgettable memories were forged overseas. They spent long days and nights caring for wounded soldiers and leaning on each other through exhaustion and heartbreak. Even in those difficult times, they found ways to laugh. Blasting Shinedown while driving through the streets of Afghanistan or quoting Nacho Libre brought much-needed humor during their darkest moments. Then there were the snowboarding trips where they pushed each other to try new tricks, carved through fresh powder, and laughed hysterically at every wipeout.

But their bond isn’t just about the laughter. They’ve shared moments of raw vulnerability and challenges few will ever understand. Through every hardship, they stood by each other without hesitation. Will was the guy Thomas trusted with his life then, and he’s the guy he trusts now to stand by his side on one of the most important days of his life.

Will

Megan and Kailey share a bond built on years of friendship, laughter, and countless cherished memories. From spontaneous hikes to magical Disney trips, every moment they spend together is filled with joy and adventure. Kailey loves how Megan is always up for her random hiking requests, turning every outing into a special experience.

One of Kailey’s favorite memories is the surprise party she and Gina planned for Megan—a perfect reflection of their love and thoughtfulness. Their Disney trips hold a special place in Kailey’s heart, filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments that only strengthen their bond.

Kailey also treasures the moments spent simply hanging out, whether it’s watching Megan’s baby turn her house into a playground or teaming up to set up a balloon arch for Megan’s baby’s birthday party. These simple yet meaningful moments highlight Megan’s warmth and the joy she brings to those around her.

Through every adventure, big or small, Kailey feels incredibly lucky to have Megan as such an important part of her life. Their friendship is built on love, trust, and countless shared memories—ones Kailey knows will continue to grow for years to come.

Troy and Thomas share a bond built on years of brotherhood, laughter, and countless memories. Growing up, they spent endless hours playing basketball in the backyard, battling it out in NCAA PlayStation Football, and cheering on their favorite team at Michigan college football games. Some of their fondest moments were spent up north on the family property—snowboarding down snowy hills, sharing ghost stories by the fire under starry skies, and soaking in the peaceful stillness of the woods.

As young adults, their adventures continued with unforgettable trips to Canada, filled with laughter, inside jokes, and stories that still resurface today. No matter the distance, they’ve always made the effort to stay close—offering advice, sharing stories, and showing up for each other when it matters most.

Troy

Claudia and Kailey share a bond built on laughter, resilience, and unforgettable moments. From spontaneous adventures to heartfelt support during challenging times, their friendship is filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

Some of their favorite moments include making questionable life choices—like sitting in the front row of Jurassic World at Universal Studios and realizing they needed to buy new pants afterward. Their bold spirit also shined through on a day they wore matching purple wigs out to lunch, turning an ordinary outing into a hilarious memory.

Their bond was further strengthened through trauma bonding at work, including one of Claudia’s most memorable moments—Kailey helping her through her first leg amputation. It was a challenging experience, but one that deepened their trust and connection.

And then there’s Claudia introducing Kailey to her first rave, a night filled with music, lights, and an energy that perfectly captured the adventurous side of their friendship.

Through every wild adventure and every quiet moment of support, Claudia and Kailey have built a friendship defined by trust, laughter, and a deep appreciation for one another. Their memories together are treasures, and their bond is one that continues to grow stronger with time.

From the wins and losses on the Wrestling mat to the long hours spent cutting weight and pushing through challenges together, they’ve shared moments that tested them, shaped them, and bonded them in ways few people ever experience.

But their connection wasn’t just built on sacrifice and hard work. It was in the countless family events, where Thomas didn’t just show up—he became part of Qasim’s family, just as Qasim became part of his. They’ve been there for milestones, celebrations, and plenty of interesting moments in between, always showing up with unwavering loyalty and warmth.

Some of their favorite memories include spending long nights at their coach’s house, sweating it out in the sauna to cut weight, and pushing each other past their limits. They’ll never forget their first tournament together at Henry Ford, where they both went undefeated and proudly held up their medals for a photo that symbolized not just victory, but brotherhood. There were also their unforgettable trips to Canada, filled with endless laughter, inside jokes, and stories they still bring up today.

No matter how long it’s been or how far apart they are, their bond remains unshakable. They can always pick up right where they left off, as if not a single day has passed.
