Lindsay and TJ met on a cool Autmn day on October 24th, 2014 at a Japanese Festival called Aki Matsuri. They ran into each other by chance, but were glued together the entire festival. Hours felt like minutes as the festival ended in a flash as they talked the entire night away, and they ended the night together watching their favorite part of the festival: the Taiko Drum performance. 


After that night, the two could not stop thinking about each other, until TJ finally worked up the courage to ask Lindsay out on a date to go ice skating in downtown Summerlin. Ecstatic, Lindsay accepted, and by the end of the night ice skating, the two had officially started dating. The two have since returned to that same spot for ice skating every single year on their anniversary. 

After they began dating, what followed was many months of going out to anime meet ups, board game nights, conventions, and spending nights together playing video games or binging their favorite shows. Those months turned to years as they grow closer and closer: learning more about each others dreams, aspirations, and passions, traveling to new places together, and experiencing new things together. Over the years they have experienced eachother’s highest highs and lowest lows, but always together supporting each other with love and patience. 

Finally on August 3rd, 2024, after nearly 10 years together, TJ proposed to Lindsay while on vacation in California. They visited Super Mario Land at Universal Studios, where TJ surprised Lindsay under the gazebo by getting on one knee. They celebrated their engagement over the rest of their trip, buzzing with joy at the thoughts of officially becoming husband and wife and dreaming up ideas for the oncoming wedding.

TJ and Lindsay feel grateful to all of their loved ones who have helped support and nurture their relationship over. Now they are so excited for the big day to come, and to get married and celebrate with all of their friends and family who have helped support them throughout the years.
