Our Wedding

It all started with a like. One like on TikTok of a silly viral dance video of three dancers, one who had caught my attention! But just like most content creators you don't think much of it given they have hundreds of thousands of followers and you're just another like. As time went on Tua's videos kept popping up on my FYP (for you page). As I clicked the follow button I never would have guessed what would happen next. A follow back. Due to us being long distance, Tua in Hawaii and myself in Washington there was no doubt we talked A LOT.Even though long distance wasn't our favorite it gave us time to lay the foundation for our relationship. Getting to know each other through late night phone calls and early morning texts it allowed us to talk about the important things. Our relationship with Jesus, beliefs, goals, expectations and what we wanted in a partner. Even after months of FaceTiming it was clear we wanted to meet and see where things could go, which brings us to.. The Meeting. Nerves and anxiety don’t mix well with a 6 hour flight. My heart was racing and I couldnt tell if I was going to throw up or pass out but nonetheless was excited to meet the man I was falling so deeply for.Tua on the other hand, as carefree as could be scared me by popping out from behind the car and laughed at my reaction before we even ever said hello. And now looking back I think we both needed that. A light hearted moment that would be unforgettable. After spending a week in Hawaii together we knew we wanted to pursue a relationship and thats exactly what we did. For a couple more months we continued our long distance endeavor, a few visits here and there both to Spokane and Honolulu but still something was missing so... I moved. I moved to Honolulu in hopes of finding out how serious our relationship was/could be. After months in Hawaii Tua knew he wanted to take our relationship one step further and propose. Much to my surprise him and one of my best friends started planning a proposal and they absolutely nailed it! Now, Tua has crossed the ocean and we both live in Spokane. We hope to start our soon to be married life here while being surrounded by family, friends and our church community. Hawaii still has our heart as we will be back and forth often to be with more aiga! During this journey Tua and I have trusted the Lord from the very beginning. Moving forward into our future marriage we will still depend and lean on God in all things. The Lord really had us in His plans and knew both of us needed one another. As in awe as we are at our story we are in awe that God would love us so deeply He would keep us both for one another and bring us together at the perfect time. We couldn't be more excited to be Mr. and Mrs. Unutoa. xoxo

We thank you for planning your trip to Hawaii to celebrate our big day. We do recommend a rental car due to our venue being on the North Shore. From the airport to venue is about an hour.
