Our wedding invites finally went out in the mail on March 5th so hopefully you will all be receiving them soon! Please make sure to complete and return the stamped RSVP card as we would love to have as accurate of a headcount as possible plus my mom likes getting mail:). Make sure to book your hotel room before the end of March for our group rates and it sounds like most are choosing the hotel near the reception site for easy access at the end of the evening. Invites have been mailed!

Matthew had asked me earlier that week to take a short trip after work on Friday, September 12th to Taylor's Falls. After eating burgers at The Drive In and watching old ladies in red hats board an Elvis boat cruise down the St. Croix we set out looking for a waterfall. Apparently one doesn't really exist in Taylor's Falls so we settled for the big dam further up the river. After making our way back down to Interstate Park &amp; viewing the gorgeous Bluffs and rushing river, Matthew said he had the perfect spot to take a picture of us. We hiked over and he took his sweet time setting up the tripod. Once it was set and timer going, he flew down to stand beside me. Before I knew what happened, he was down on one knee holding a ring box. I was in disbelief and shock so it took a little while for it to sink in as he had a speech all prepared. Then, at 7:15PM, he said "Tianna Lee… Will you marry me?" I of course said "yes!" This man, my fiancé, is someone I love with my whole heart and so thankful that God brought us together. Very excited for the lifelong journey ahead!!

The Proposal!

We met at work! I had started full time in early June 2009 and at that time he was helping out at the office for the summer until he went to college. I say that it started pretty much when he began flirting with me by putting cookies on my desk when we had "cookie Friday" but I'm not sure he views it that way:). While we saw each other off and on at events and gatherings, nothing happened for a couple years, though, until we ended up hanging out for a weekend in October 2011. The rest was basically history as we had our first official date on November 26, 2011 at Sunset's in Woodbury. We have had our share of ups and downs but through it all I know Matthew is the man for me and that only God could have brought us together. Very excited to start our lives together soon as husband and wife!

This hotel is about 7-8 minutes from our ceremony site in Woodbury and about 20 minutes from our reception site in White Bear Lake. It has one of the largest indoor pools around along with a whirlpool. Price includes breakfast in the morning and each room comes with a microwave and small fridge. Price for 1-4 people per night is $99 + tax. They do have suites and cots available to accommodate 4+ people.  Block of rooms is under "Schmitz/Brocker Wedding"! Please book by March 30th, 2015. 

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, St. Paul East (Woodbury), MN

This hotel is about 10 minutes from our reception site in White Bear Lake and about 20 minutes from our ceremony site in Woodbury. It features a 90 foot water slide! It also has an indoor pool and whirlpool. Price includes breakfast in the morning and each room comes with a microwave and small fridge. Price for 1-4 people per night is $106 + tax. Block of rooms is under "Schmitz/Brocker Wedding"! Please book by March 30th, 2015.
