The ceremony will be held on a partially shaded lawn, then the festivities will transition indoors. The weather is typically nice during September, with highs in the 70s; however, given the altitude, temperatures will noticeably cool down as the sun goes down or if you are in the shade. We recommend that guests are prepared with a light jacket or extra layer should they wish to enjoy the outdoors during the evening. Sun protection and staying hydrated are essential at a high altitude. We recommend wearing your favorite sun protection, however sunscreen will be provided at the venue's entrance. There are some winding roads leading to the venue, and we recommend taking something like Dramamine Non-Drowsy if you are prone to motion sickness/carsickness.
What is the dress code?
We request cocktail or semi-formal attire for wedding guests. Our ceremony will be outdoors on a lawn, so we recommend flats, wedges, block heels, or high heel protectors/stoppers.
We recommend planning for varying temperatures as the weather can quickly change in Colorado. While the weather is typically nice this time of year, you will notice a significant temperature change in the shade or in the evening.
Are Children Invited?
In order to ensure that all of our guests can fully relax and enjoy themselves, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. While we adore the little ones in our lives, we kindly request that our wedding be a child-free occasion. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange for childcare during the event. We truly appreciate your support and cannot wait to celebrate with you in a joyous and memorable atmosphere!
Will There Be An Open Bar?
Yes, but if you are traveling from a lower altitude, please hydrate and be careful to pace your consumption. Alcohol is likely to have a stronger effect at this altitude.
Wildlife Advisory
As we celebrate our special day in the beautiful mountains, we want to remind our guests that we’re sharing this space with local wildlife. While it’s unlikely you’ll have close encounters, animals such as deer, raccoons, and even bears may occasionally wander nearby.
Please be smart and respectful: Do not approach or feed any animals. Keep all food and drinks secured. Dispose of trash properly. Be aware of your surroundings, especially at dusk and after dark. Let’s enjoy the natural beauty responsibly—thank you for helping us keep the celebration safe for everyone (wild and human alike)!
Wildfire Danger
We want to make everyone aware that this area is subject to seasonal wildfire risk. Your safety—and the safety of this beautiful location—is our top priority.
Please help us reduce fire danger by following these guidelines: Smoking is only allowed in designated areas—never in wooded or grassy spaces. Open flames (candles, campfires, sparklers, etc.) are strictly prohibited unless otherwise specified by venue staff. Report any signs of smoke or fire immediately to event staff. Stay informed: If conditions change, we will communicate updates as needed. Thank you for being mindful and helping us protect this stunning mountain setting.
