FAQ for Wedding Guests

Q: What is the dress code?

A: We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a nice dress, dressy separates, or a suit and tie. No jeans, please!! Please dress in what makes you feel comfortable regardless of gender expectations. If you would like to dress in our color palette, some inspiration can be found under the color tab!

Q: How do I RSVP?

A: Use the QR code on the “Save the Date” postcard or invitation that you received, or under the "Registry" tab here on our website.


Q: Where is the reception being held?

A: Both the reception and ceremony will be held at The 5th Floor in Ogden, UT at 2411 Kiesel Ave. This venue is wheelchair accessible.


Q: Parking?

A: There is parking right next to the venue and in the garage across the street!


Q: Where should I stay?

A: There are several hotel and Airbnb options in the area. We have a discount code for 15% off with the Hampton Inn & Suites down the street from the venue! Q: What time should I arrive?

A: We ask that you please arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to ensure everyone is seated for the ceremony. Give yourself plenty of time to travel, find parking, and comfortably get to the venue.


Q: After party???

A: We are going to the bar around the corner, Harp and Hound, after the wedding, and you are welcome to join us! We don't have any space reserved, as it is an informal thing, but we'd love to spend more time with you!

Q: Are kids welcome?

A: While we absolutely adore your little kiddos, our wedding ceremony is a 12+ event. However, children will be welcome to the reception to celebrate with us. We thank you in advance for arranging childcare for the ceremony so you can join us on our special day. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We'd be happy to help in finding childcare if needed.


Q: Can I bring a plus one?

A: Due to a tight budget and strict guest list, our wedding is RSVP only and we’ll only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.


Q: Where are you registered?

A: Our registry links can be found under the “registry” tab on our website. Please be sure to send the gifts to the address on the registry due to our limited luggage space for travel. We're continually updating, so feel free to check back!


Q: What will the weather be like?

A: September in Utah is quite enjoyable with the average temperature being 75 F. Mornings are often about 10 degrees cooler. Utah is a very dry state, if traveling from somewhere more humid, please be aware that hydration is important and that due to the climate, you may get a bloody nose or chapped lips. The ceremony and reception will both be held indoors.


Q: Will food be served?

A: Yes! Food will be served. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, feel free to reach out to us so we can make sure our menu has something for you.

Q: Am I allowed to take photos? Can I share photos on social media?

A: Please do not take photos during the ceremony. Our photographer will ensure those moments are captured. We may ask that all phones be silenced or turned off during the ceremony. Photos will be greatly encouraged before and after the ceremony. Disposable cameras will be found throughout the venue during the reception; please feel free to capture little moments that we can cherish from your point of view! If you share photos on social media tag us so we can see!


Q: Should I bring a gift?

A: We would be so grateful to receive any gifts from you! It would be helpful if you could utilize the registry to send any physical gifts directly to our home due to travel. If you would prefer to contribute to our baby-fund via Venmo (@Madisyn-DeCaire) or here on the website on the registry tab, that would be greatly appreciated! We would especially love it if you bring a card or letter with you! We're looking forward to reading all your kind words.

Q: What’s the itinerary?

A: Guest arrival at 2:30PM with ceremony beginning around 3:00PM. Directly after the ceremony we will have a cocktail hour with a light snack and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Dinner will begin at 5:00PM with reception following, around 7:00PM.
