Our Story

Our Story

As many of you may know, or not know, Chase and I go way back! When I was just a freshman and Chase was a sophomore, we went to our high school's homecoming dance as boyfriend and girlfriend. As a lot of high school relationships never last, you can imagine whenever we went our separate ways. But it is true whenever they say God works in mysterious ways. Fast forward some 10 odd years later, I had returned home from college and Chase had returned home from his years in the Army. Out of all places, we ran into each other again at a local restaurant... Wild Wing Cafe. I will never forget seeing Chase walk in and getting that giddy, little schoolgirl feeling. I felt 14 all over again, literally! As the night had gone on, we had both been catching looks at each other and "talking to each other" across the restaurant. Finally, I had worked up the nerve to walk over. Chase made it difficult for me for a little bit, but I knew that Chase was going to be the one for me.

And you know what they say... from there, it was history!

Our Engagement

Chase could not have planned a more perfect, more surprising way to ask me to marry him! On July 21st, we had planned a trip to go watch the Braves play with family and friends for our sweet Asher's second birthday! I had asked him earlier in the week, "Chase, when are you going to propose to me?" He laughed and told me I was crazy if I thought he was going to ask me to marry him in front of everyone and that he wanted that moment to be just an us moment. He truly did convince me that it was absolutely not going to happen on our trip to the Braves game. Little did I know, Chase had planned to ask me that weekend all along. I truly do not think I could have been more excited whenever I turned around and saw the love of my life on knee asking me to marry him. If I could relive the moment over and over, I would!
