I love it when Terry tells this story but I’ll give it a try… When I was on duty in the South bay area, I was conducting a traffic stop when K9-14 (and unknown voice I’ve never heard before), spoke up on the radio as my back up. K9-14, known as Terry Sneed, arrived on scene as I was speaking to the driver of the vehicle. As I was completing my traffic stop, I told him “thank you” in which he smiled and said “your very welcome.” After that traffic stop on that day, I found myself noticing Terry was working out west in the same area I was more often as the K9 handler. We would cross paths, stop and chat and sometimes even sit next to each other in our cars while waiting for a call to come out or finishing paperwork.

Since that time out west, we exchanged numbers and the numerous texts and phone calls began. Now when you ask Terry, he will tell you as soon as he got out of his vehicle to back me up on the traffic stop he said, “I knew you were going to be mine.” Small talk became long conversations and then date nights. After date nights, we were becoming more and more inseparable. Now mind you, we have been dating since 2018 and people within our job had no idea until we starting posting pictures of us at Disney in matching shirts, yes, we wear matching shirts compliments of me! Haha

This man is literally my best friend in life and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate him for coming into my life when he did. We saved in each other in a time in our lives that we needed saving. I thank god for him every day and I know he does the same.
