Our story is a special one, one of surprising second chances. We were two people that didn't know one another, but were connected by one thoughtful, loving, caring, and insightful person (Amy Bryson). She knew our stories, what each of us had been through, and thought we needed to be introduced. And if you know Amy, once she gets an idea she will make sure to execute it!

It all started with a birthday celebration that was really just a clever way to get us in the same space. From "Abort Mission!", to a squished birthday cake, to a day of snow tubing, and the birth of Mr. Sparkles, this thing was off to a start.

Then there was a challenge to get me to change my mind about Valentine's Day. I was jaded and reluctant, he was patient and persistent. From a "pre-date" date (I had to make sure this date thing was going to work), to a nine hour first date on February 13th (because I wouldn't go on Valentine's Day), to four years later, and here we are!

We have certainly had lots to navigate and many delicate challenges and emotions to work through, but it has created a special story to tell. Two people who never imagined they would be starting over at this stage in life, four kids who never thought they'd be walking through it with their parents, and many family and friends who have loved, supported, and rooted for us along the way. Our relationship and love for one another (kids and all) is truly a God given gift. He has had His hands on it, in it, and through it all from the beginning. He knew we were exactly what each other needed, and has walked with us through it all. We are proof that love gets second chances and are excited to share our special day with you!
