<p>Jim was a 3rd shift police officer who sometimes stopped in for breakfast after his shift at Columbia Kitchen, where Tiffany waitressed on the weekends. One morning the two started chatting; he about his interest in neuroscience and she about her work with neurodiverse students. Sharing their sarcastic sense of humor, Jim asked Tiffany for her number in case she wanted to do a penguin plunge that weekend. She declined the plunge, but gave Jim her number in case she changed her mind or the event happened to change locations to Jamaica. Neither of those happened but the two stayed in touch and gradually began seeing each other and then became a couple. Fast forward a few years and Jim asked Tiffany again to do a penguin plunge. This time, seeing no way to avoid this continuing request, she agreed but with trepidation. She was motivated by the cause to fundraise for the Special Olympics but Jim had other motivations as well. After finally luring her into the cold water he asked her to take the real plunge saying “Tiffany, will you marry me?” In absolute shock, and with a slight prompt from the rescue divers, Tiffany happily said “yes”. <br><br>The two have traveled aboard together, achieved new degrees and career goals, and they have built a loving home together with Tiffany’s son William too. As a team, there is nothing they can’t accomplish. Thank you for cheering on “team Jiffany”</p>
