Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are continually monitoring CDC guidelines and restrictions for gatherings. Our venue also has certain restrictions and guidelines in place. In the event we have to make our celebration more intimate, we promise to do our best to give you reasonable notice of a reduction in our guest list. Additionally, we will do our best to make sure our event is as safe as possible for everyone under the current circumstances. Therefore, we strongly encourage all who are eligible and able, to get vaccinated in advance of our special day. If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you take a COVID-19 test 3 to 5 days before the event and confirm that your test result is negative with the bride or groom via email at becomingrichardson2021@gmail.com. If you attend our event, you will be required to wear a mask at all times when you are not eating or drinking. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we kindly ask that you quarantine and celebrate with us in spirit. Temperature checks will be conducted at the door. We ask that you just keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on this new journey called "marriage" together.

This Is Us

This is us . . . This is the story of Tiffany Taylor and Brentic Richardson, how we met, our friendship, our love, and the proposal.

The Bride

My Childhood - I was born on December 30 in the Westmoreland parish of Jamaica. If you let my Mom tell it, I was an unruly toddler. I like to think I was independent, adventurous, and a little feisty. After moving to the U.S., I grew up in Orlando, Florida with my little sister, Tiara. I loved hanging out with my friends. I ran track and played the clarinet in middle school and high school. I also played in the marching band. I stayed with my grandparents just about every weekend. I started working when I was 16 when I got a job in the mall. I thought I had it made when I landed a position at Wet Seal and got an employee discount. Most of the time, however, I worked at The Children's Place. My grandfather taught me to drive and I shuffled around town in his old school Cadillac. Adulting - I attended Florida State University for undergrad where I received my B.S. in Criminology. While there, I joined a sisterhood and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I got my first car, Champagne, who carried me around for years. After undergrad, I attended Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia where I received my J.D. I am a tried and true Capricorn: analytical, hardworking, a tad stubborn, and somewhat OCD. After law school, I lived in Brunswick, GA for a short stint while working as a public defender. In 2016, I moved to Albany, GA where I met Brentic.

The Groom

Even as a child I've always been known as a very outgoing person. My friends and loved ones say I never meet a stranger. I grew up in Albany, Ga. I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid). My father got called to Pastor a church there and I've been there ever since. Being a PK means you are in a church building more than most so I naturally gravitated towards music because I had to find something to do while I was there. Music is my passion in school. I was always writing songs and poetry or trying to experiment with a new instrument. My mother is an educator at one of the local colleges. From her I picked up my love of sharing knowledge with others and a desire to help them reach their goals. This led to me receiving a Music Education Degree from Albany State University. Growing up with only one sister and little family in the town, I always valued the time I got to spend with my late grandparents and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. I'm always looking forward to the next big family get together. My hobbies include hanging with my friends, grilling, podcasting and gaming. I'm also a tad bit of a political nerd.

Peanut Butter Meets Jelly 

HERstory - We met in an empty apartment in June 2016 in Albany, GA. Brentic was viewing the apartment when I walked in. I had absolutely no idea someone else was in the apartment because I had just gotten the keys from the owner. So I was completely shocked when I saw Brentic. My only thought was I hope he’s not a killer. In what I now know as true Brentic form, he started asking me questions about my background and where I went to school. I had on a FSU t-shirt and he is a huge fan of the football team. He tried to hit on me but I shut that down. We joked and talked trash about the apartment that was absolutely filthy. He was cordial and we exchanged contact information and went our separate ways.

We Found Love

We were friends for a year and a half before we started dating in March 2018. During that time period we developed a strong friendship. I was new to the Albany area and Brentic welcomed me into his church family and his family. We built our friendship over talking about our relationships, work, life, and other things we were experiencing. We frequently gathered together to watch our favorite TV shows like Game of Thrones and Insecure. Brentic was #TeamLawrence and I was #TeamIssa. One day we were watching TV and I wanted to watch a different show. I asked him for the remote to change the channel and Brentic tells me I can’t have the remote because that comes with the girlfriend package...*insert eye roll.* Needless to say, his silly charm worked because I opted to upgrade my package. Since then, we’ve been going strong. Brentic is kind, caring, loving, and always looking out for me. In many ways we are complete opposites, but someone’s strengths compliments the other’s weaknesses. So we work well together to build a healthy relationship.

Samantha Donaldson

My name is Samantha Donaldson and I have both the honor and pleasure of being Tiffany’s maid of honor. I’m a registered nurse currently residing in Orlando, FL. Tiffany and I first met in elementary school where we became best friends and have been together ever since. We’ve literally grown up together from childhood straight though to adulthood. No matter the distance between us we have always been there for one another for every major accomplishment and special occasion. I can’t wait to share in this special moment standing right by her side as she becomes Mrs. Richardson!

My name is Tiara Rosetta, the one and ONLY sister to the bride. I’m so excited to be apart of my sister and Brentic’s very special day. I still can’t believe she’s actually getting married! My sister means the world to me, she’s always been an amazing role model and definitely sets the standards high. I only want the best for my sister and I’m so happy with how far she’s come in life. Now she’s embarking on a new journey called marriage and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her and Brentic. Hopefully some nieces and nephews come with it. Growing up has always been fun with her, I couldn’t have done this sister thing with anyone else. If you know us, you know my sister and I are always laughing together, she’s always been there for me and I love her so much. I’m glad that she’s found someone who loves her truly and wants to give her his last name. The countdown is real until my sissy becomes Mrs. Richardson

My name is Trishwanda and I’m so honored to be a part of Tiffany and Brentic’s special day as they embark into their journey of marriage. I have known Tiffany for what seems like forever, somewhere around middle or high school. She is one of my favorite travel buddies and a wonderful friend. I pray God’s richest blessings over your union and wish you guys the best!&nbsp;

Briana Richardson

Hi my name is Briana Richardson. I am a former educator currently pursuing a Masters of Medical Science degree. My daughter is the self proclaimed flower girl and Brent is my brother. I met Tiffany when Brent introduced her as his friend. However, NO ONE in the family believed that to be true. Annnddd trust me....we made a spectacle of it! LOL! Gathering after gathering, we found ourselves amused by their romantic denials and platonic commitments. Eventually, both of them began to accept what my family saw all along...LOVE! And now I finally get to say I have a sister!

Candice McKinnon

My name is Candice McKinnon and I have known my precious Tiffany for over 10 years! We met at Florida State University and became linesisters through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Tiffany has always been a close confidant and we remained close after undergrad while we attended post-graduate programs in Atlanta, Georgia. We have learned, traveled, and shared many laughs together over the years. No matter the distance, Tiffany has always been a supportive&nbsp;friend and I am so happy that she has found her forever love! Words can't express how excited I am for this union!

Vincella "Myah" Smith

Very early in the college apartment days at Seminole Suites, Tip and Myah forged a strong bond as neighbors, commiserating over school, Delta and fortunately for Brentic, men who never quite had it all together! From late nights, sleepovers and car rides down the Tally streets in "Champagne", to sending encouraging emails throughout grad school and beyond, Myah and Tip have both been blessed to be able to lean on each other, despite distance, through some of the best and worst times! For the last 11 years, one thing has always rang true: Tip and Myah have never been too far, rooting on each other from the sidelines to ever-evolve into the women you see today. This milestone is a pinnacle one on the journey to personal growth and lifelong sisterhood, as Tiffany has found the one whom her soul loveth! No way it could be missed!
