Our Wedding

Madison and Tiffany met online in early 2018. They texted every day for about a month before their first date on March 24, when Tiff drove from Blacksburg, VA to Boone, NC in a snowstorm. When she arrived, she saw Madison had shoveled out a parking space for her at the top of his driveway. (Actually, he used a rake because he didn't have a shovel, which made the gesture that much sweeter!) That day, Madison introduced Tiff to the famous blueberry white chocolate oatmeal cookie from App Cookie Co. and won the first of many Mario Kart races. (She still hasn't beaten him... at anything, really.) Before she left to go home, she remembers Madison saying, "Whatever this is, I hope it lasts." They continued dating long distance for a year before Tiff moved to North Carolina! Madison's made a UNC basketball fan out of Tiff, and she's turned Madison into a proud dog dad. Squirt and Simba still rule the roost. On March 5, 2022, during a weekend in the Smoky Mountains, Madison surprised Tiff by proposing at a beautiful overlook. She said YES! (And immediately began planning the wedding.) They're excited to celebrate their love with you next summer!

Ashley is Tiff's older sister and friend. Though she be but little, she is fierce! Ash recently moved to Chapel Hill, so she and Tiff get to live in the same city for the first time in almost two decades!

Erika is Madison's sister and Tiff's soon-to-be sister! Tiff felt instantly welcomed when she met Erika, whose warm personality and hilarious sense of humor made her feel right at home. She lives in Missoula, MT.

Shannon and Tiff met in a freshman French class at Penn State and bonded over Creamery ice cream and Gilmore Girls. Shannon's been one of Tiff's best friends ever since. She lives in Willow Grove, PA.

Corie-Mae and Tiff lived next door to one another freshman year of college and became fast friends! This photo is the result of an unfortunate amusement park choice circa 2008. Corie-Mae lives in Deale, MD.

Jenn and Tiff became instant friends on the very first day of college when Jenn cracked a joke during an awkward get-to-know you activity. They were roommates during senior year and traveled to London together after graduation! Jenn lives in Lewistown, PA.

Kimber and Tiff met in Memphis while moving into the same apartment complex. They've shared countless pizza nights (read: ice cream nights), and have spent many hours talking about life and laughing together. Nobody gives a better hug than Kimber. She lives in Phoenix, AZ.

James is Madison's younger brother and fellow traveler in family adventures, and both partner and adversary in many video games -- mostly platform fighters and turn based strategy games. They could talk for hours using references only they understand.

Artem and Madison were once described by a stand-up comedian they went to see as "the same dude from different dimensions". They've explored whatever dimension they find themselves in together and have logged a lot of time on the basketball court, too. They also enjoy spirited philosophical debates.

John and Madison have been close since middle school. Their bond was solidified when the Smith Middle School basketball team bus left without them and they were stranded in Durham after a game. They've gone nighttime ziplining over the Appalachian Mountains together, and lately John's been passing on his fishing knowledge to Madison.

Hal and Madison have been friends since 2nd grade. They grew up in the mean streets of Carrboro together and would pass the time with basketball, cheering on the Tar Heels and mischief. They've gone to see the bands Tame Impala and War on Drugs in concert together in the past few years, which were both great shows.

Chris and Madison met in high school and have been plotting to take over the world since then. They love playing basketball, video games, board games, adventuring outside, and dodging wayward deer in the car together.

Caleb and Madison met in high school and quickly became friends. They also went on to work in the same IT Help Desk together at UNC for a few years, and were also essentially neighbors at the time. While at UNC, their pick and roll action was formidable during the lunch time faculty/staff pick-up basketball games.

RDU is the closest airport and is just over a 20-minute drive from Chapel Hill. <a href="https://www.uber.com/global/en/airports/rdu/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Uber</a> and <a href="https://www.lyft.com/rider/airports/rdu" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lyft</a> are both available, as well as a variety of <a href="https://www.rdu.com/ground-transportation/rental-cars/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">rental car</a> services.

AC Hotel is in downtown Chapel Hill on a street parallel to Franklin Street. Although within walking distance, it may be a bit of a hike in the July heat, so we'd recommend Ubering/Lyfting or driving to the venue so as to avoid becoming drenched in sweat!
