The Rod & Reel Pier is considered an institution on Anna Maria Island at least since 1947 when it was first built. Here you can see many locals fishing and if you bring a pole, you can also fish off the pier for a small fee. The water is so clear that you can observe some wildlife from the pier.

Here you can also find unique, casual dining offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an ocean view. Their specialty is fresh seafood dishes and the grouper sandwich. Below the restaurant there is a small bar that will serve wine and beer.
