Our Wedding

We met on a dating app where Tim kept making Erica blush and laugh talking about waiting covid out in a blanket tent.Our first date we went Axe throwing....Erica seemed to have trusted Tim to go axe throwing with a complete stranger. It was there that Erica found out Tim was not a lumberjack. This is also where that Tim found out that Erica gave him an alternate number, not her real number form the dating app! This is also where they laughed and talked for hours! This was the start to our adventures! Due to work and the distance apart from each other the two spent many weekends together. Each weekend was filled with some type of adventure, driving or hiking in the mountains/trails, chasing the wild horses, or trying our hand at golf; we found ourselves always looking for something fun to do and we often found out that it wasn't what we were doing that was fun but it was that we were together that we created the fun! When Erica found out she was moving to Germany it added an extra layer of challenges, 8+ hours of time change and 5,365 miles of challenges! Through hours on the phone and facetime Tim and Erica grew deeper in their love.

Hampton Inn Grand Island

For Those Flying In

We normally fly into Omaha Nebraska it is 2.5 hours from Grand Island but there are more flight options. Lincoln is normally the second choice, it is about 1.5 hours from Grand Island, but limited flight options. Grand Island and Kearney are small regional airports with very limited flights from Denver or Dallas. Kearney is 45 mins from Grand Island.

Outdoor playground/park! Includes a small train (if it is running) There is also a free wading pool on the other side of the park. (Stolley Park) There is also a botanical garden, pickleball quarts, and disc golf at the park.

Stolley Park Kids Kingdom

Great waterpark for kids including Kids slide, wave pool, lazy river, water slides and speed slides. Great activity for a hot summer day! Check their website for prices and hours.

Island Oasis Water Park

For Older Kids

Living History Museum of Pioneer History. The grounds include dozens of houses and towns stores to walk through. Note- it was Erica's dream to live and work here one day! She also took summer classes here where she would dress like a pioneer girl and always enjoyed pumping water from the well. Check their website for admission prices and hours.

Stuhr Museum

For Adults

Grand Island opened the casino on in April, it is located at the horse racing track and state fair grounds. Great way to try to win some cash!
