It was a global pandemic.

Timi had just moved to Buffalo, NY for Emergency Medicine residency after graduating from medical school in May of 2020. Andrew was working full time night shift as a hospitalist physician assistant at Timi's future hospital. It wasn't long before Timi had to admit a patient from the emergency room to Andrew overnight. They were formally introduced by a mutual friend who stated "Timi is too peppy and happy for your surly outlook on life, Andrew." As fate would have it, opposites attract. COVID restrictions loosened up and they were finally able to go out together (for nachos and tacos, which now happen to be a date night staple). Timi lovingly states that it took her three whole dates to actually like Andrew, but once she finally realized she did, there was no looking back from there. They have been annoyingly inseparable since April of 2021. Shortly after, they welcomed their GSP puppy, Cruella (Ella) DeVil, into their homes. After over a year of co-parenting their dog with a 25 minute commute one way, Timi finally agreed to move to the suburbs with Andrew and Ella. After her graduation from residency in June of 2023, Andrew wanted to "celebrate" by taking her on a trip to the Bahamas. One cancelled flight, a two hour drive to Toronto to catch a new flight at 1am, and one flat tire later, and they were on a plane to Nassau, Bahamas. While in the Bahamas, Andrew sneakily planned for an evening to end with a professional photography session at sunset on the beach where he popped the big question. They spent the rest of the vacation talking endlessly about plans for the upcoming wedding and the excitement surrounding getting to spend it with family and friends. On their return to Buffalo, and after hours of research and touring many reception venues, their date was finally set -- 08.31.24
