Welcome week in college! We both met at GVSU freshman year. We lived in the dorms and his room was right down the hall from mine. We actually had chemistry class together our very first semester!

Tim and I dated for over two years before he popped the question :)

On January 21, 2023, we went out to eat at The Paisley Pig in Grand Haven. Since it is normal for us to go on monthly dates, I had no idea it was happening that day! After dinner we got ice cream at The Pump House closer to the lakeshore. After ice cream we went for a short stroll down by the marina. I began complaining it was too cold (whoops) and he convinced me to sit down on a bench with him for a moment. As we went to stand up, he jumped in front of me, grabbed both my hands and stood me to my feet, then started giving me a spiel about how much he loved me right before he got down on one knee! I bawled like a baby because I was so excited!
