Eugene and Tina have known each other for nearly 22 years; although their relationship only began 6 years ago (this new years) on a snowy New Years Day.

Eugene happens to be Tina's older brother, Anthony's childhood best friend.

Timing was everything for the two. Both growing in separate ways by discovering love, experiencing heart breaks from first relationships, losing loved ones, establishing young adulthood, grief, joy, success, etc.

The two had missed out on re-meeting each other numerous times. Their lives weren’t yet in sync with one another's.

And just like it is said in The Alchemist written by Paulo Coelho, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

It was only a matter of time when things would align for the two.

On the last day of the year in 2015, Tina had attended a family New Year’s Eve party. Right before the clock struck 12:00am, everyone went around and said what they were leaving behind in 2015 and most looking forward to for the new year.

When it came time for Tina to share, this is what she responded with, “I am in a place where I view things differently now. I am ready to let go of any painful experiences I have dealt with this year. And if it is in the universe’s or God’s will, I am ready to meet someone”

The next day, she met Eugene.
