Tina and Dennis first met on the eve of Tina’s birthday, at Besito in Huntington. She was late to their first date (unsurprising to anyone who knows Tina) but she eventually found parking in the rain and Dennis in his pink shirt at the bar. After the margaritas were ordered, Dennis fixed a wobbly table with sugar packets, and the sparks flew. So much so that they made plans for their second date the very next night - on Tina’s actual birthday (no pressure there). This time it was Dennis’ turn to be late - he forgot the flowers on the counter and had to turn back halfway to the restaurant (unsurprising to anyone who knows Dennis), but he sped through traffic and made it to dinner. Some food and drinks at “The Shed” and a night watching Top Gun 2 in the actual theater, and they both knew. They saw eachother as much as they could that first week, and while away for a brief weekend vacation with her girlfriends, Dennis texted “I hope you like dogs”. Tina came home to a skiddish, year round shedder named Moose, and their little family was complete. Add in the proper sized SUV to transport the madness of a 100 pound fake black Labrador, and the adventures haven’t stopped since, anywhere from downhill skiing and snowboarding, to Oktoberfest in Munich, and Epcot in between.

On February 15th, Dennis proposed while on their annual Poconos ski trip to Montage Mountain. Still strapped into his snowboard, Dennis - the plumbing specialist - got down on both knees on a trail named “The Mainline”. After navigating through a ski school of children and colliding with a tree, a breathless Dennis pulled out the ring, but almost forgot to ask the question. At first Tina couldn’t tell if he’d injured himself, but once she realized what was happening, the smiles and tears could not be stopped. At the bottom of the mountain, and back in the lodge, Tina’s family and friends - as well as best man, Tom, and groomsman and officiant Matt and Marge, all secretly waited to surprise the bride to be, and celebrate the happy couple.

After almost 4 years together, Dennis and Tina are beyond excited to finally make it official, and cannot wait to celebrate their love with all their families and friends. They hope every invitee can make it for a night they will never forget!
