What is the Wedding Dress Code?
Black Tie. Get those tuxedos pressed and the fancy dresses picked out!
Is the Venue Multiple Stories/ What Shoes Should Ladies Wear?
The venue is an old beautiful house so yes, there are stairs. The dinner will be upstairs in the house. There is an elevator for individuals who have trouble with stairs. The outside grounds are a mixture of turf, brick, oyster shells, and dance floor. Wear whatever shoes you are comfortable with, but something with a thicker heel would be our recommendation.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Both! The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside in the garden, the dinner will be inside the William Aiken House, and the par-tay will be outside but under a tent.
What will the weather be like?
While we can't accurately predict the weather, late March in Charleston is gorgeous. Average highs are in the low 70s and average lows are in the 60s. Rain is unlikely, as it historically rains very little in March in Charleston. We'll also be burying a bottle of bourbon so we can pretty much guarantee it will be perfect!
What Hotel Are The Bride & Groom Staying At?
Hotel Bennett
What Are The Dinner Options?
Seafood - Wild Salmon in a Fine Herb Sauce
Meat - Center Cut Fillet with Bordelaise
Sides - Haricot Vert and Sweet Corn Risotto
Vegetarian - Spiced Cauliflower Florets with Romesco and Warm Chickpea Salad
The food is all incredible - we just had our tasting in late January! Everything will be gluten-free and any allergies and dietary restrictions will be communicated in advance to the kitchen.
What's the best way to RSVP?
There will be a formal invitation that will include an RSVP card that will come closer to the wedding. If you know now that there is no way you'll be able to make it and want to let us know feel free to email us at tinsley.andrew.wedding@gmail.com
Are Children Invited to the Wedding?
While we love your gremlins, we're having a child-free party. Let's be honest, they are kind of a wet blanket anyway.
I’ll have my children with me, do you have any babysitter recommendations?
