God's timing is always perfect.
We met about 5 years ago. Our kids were participating in youth sports together. We were both so involved with our kids that we barely spoke to each other. I noticed she was a beautiful woman but I kept my distance. When I finally got the nerve to ask her to lunch, she wasn't available. It wasn't our time yet. Two years passed and we always saw each other in passing still. We'd have these random pop up messenger or text conversations from time to time. It was as if God kept showing her to me. I eventually asked her to lunch again, and this time she said yes. Me, still nervous, waited a few weeks before we settled on a place to meet for lunch. I was so nervous, I drove to the wrong restaurant in the wrong town. I got there twenty minutes late. We had a great lunch date though. I knew I wanted to see her again. We began having lunch once a week, sometimes twice a week. Talking everyday. Praying together every night. I was falling in love with her, she was guarded and I didn't mind it. She went to Mobile in September 2016 with her family. That weekend she was gone, I missed her terribly. I knew I was in love. We went to Gatlinburg Tn that November and had such a great time. In February of this year, we went to Savannah Ga. We toured Savannah all day. All day that ring was in my pocket. Finally that evening as the sun was going down at the pier at Tybee Island, I put on Major's song "This Is Why I Love You", and got down on one knee and asked Tish to be my wife. She said yes! I love her so much. And she loves me which she shows it in so many ways. God just pointed us right towards each other, at the exactly right Time! Here we go baby! God's timing is always perfect.
