Our Wedding

Our love story was woven together by years of prayer and one that only God could truly write. It all began with an introduction through mutual friends at an Operation Christmas Child event. Nothing less than short hellos were exchanged, but both of us secretly hoped we could get to know each other more.Fast forward about a month, and we went on our first date in December 2024. We can look back and smile as we remember how special and funny that first date was, as we unexpectedly ran into our mutual friends! As we continued to go on dates throughout the beginning of 2025, we saw how our lives were interwoven, how we shared common values and dreams, and how we genuinely enjoyed spending time together. We stood by each other through the highs and lows of the year. Through it all, we encouraged and uplifted each other to draw closer to the Lord, to be our best selves, and got to know each other closer in the process. We got to be in our friends' weddings throughout the summer (and maybe secretly dreamed ours would be someday!).As the warm weather faded into autumn, Ava began her first-year teaching job. We enjoyed many hikes and picnics in the Franklin area. TJ was the perfect teacher boyfriend- helping hang class decorations and surprising Ava with a picnic dinner for the first week of school! We began to talk about our future together. TJ had many hints about engagement, but had fully convinced Ava it would be in December. On a Friday in October, TJ took Ava out to a beautiful dinner in Cook Forest. After, we went for what Ava thought was a sunset hike. This quickly changed as she saw a path of candles and rose petals. At first, she definitely thought they were walking past the site of another proposal. Her mind quickly changed as TJ led her to the sunset ledge and got down on one knee. The rest of the evening was a beautiful blur as we shared the celebration with our sweet families.As a newly engaged couple, we quickly started to dream and plan for our lives together. Wedding planning and house planning began (and haven't stopped since!) We thank God for bringing us together and look forward with hope and joy to all that He will do in our marriage!

From her earliest memories, Ava remembers calling Moriah one of her closest friends- from doing Bible studies together over the years or getting her to go to Steeler training camp, she has been a loyal friend!

Since she can remember, Anneka has been a part of Ava's life and one of her closest friends. From planning VBS or going on walks at the park, she has been such an encouragement and inspiration!

TJ is excited to have a new brother! He appreciates the time he has gotten to know Louis better and looks forward to many more outdoor adventures together in the future!

Since they met in 2019 at a young adult Bible study, TJ and Evan quickly became friends. TJ can always count on Evan to make him smile and laugh. Evan's sense of humor and kindness have always inspired him.

From childhood to manhood, TJ has called DJ a great friend through many seasons of life. Not only do they share a common name, but many memories, including airsoft, trying out different Pittsburgh diners and just hanging out!
