It all began on a seemingly ordinary day—August 23rd, 2019—at Seton Hill Orientation. Maddi and Todd, two strangers just gearing up for that year’s college adventures, had no idea that a simple compliment exchanged in passing would spark a connection that would grow into something far beyond what either could have imagined. That first glance was just the beginning of an incredible story that would unfold over the years. As life threw them together, they soon became inseparable. Navigating the tumultuous journey of university life, they weathered the chaos of countless projects, late-night study sessions, and the overwhelming feeling of transitioning into the “real world.” But it was when the world came to a standstill during the Covid-19 pandemic that their bond truly deepened. With the world locked down, Todd and Maddi found themselves living together—learning, growing, and supporting each other in ways they never could have anticipated. The isolation of the pandemic became their shared experience, and together, they built a life that was as strong as it was resilient. Time passed, and as the world began to reopen, they too began to build their future—moving into their first apartment, carving out their space in the world, and stepping into adulthood side by side. Each day, their love grew stronger, more certain, more beautiful. But it was during the holiday season of 2023, with family gathered around, that Todd made the momentous decision to pop the question. Five years of laughter, adventure, challenges, and triumphs had led to this unforgettable moment, a promise of forever. Through life’s highest highs and its lowest lows, through every challenge and every triumph, Todd and Maddi have always chosen each other. Their love has been their anchor—unshakable, unwavering, and pure. What began with a simple compliment blossomed into a love story that will continue to unfold, with each new chapter more exciting than the last. Together, they know one thing for sure: no matter what the future holds, they will always choose their love, today and always.
