The story of Todd and Jen begins in the year 2001, where they met at McChord AFB in Washington State. Jen was introduced to Todd by his close friend and co-worker, Steve, who was also Jen's supervisor on USAF Reserve weekends. Todd and his 4-year-old daughter Taylor "just happened" to stop by the office one weekend during Jen's Reserve duty. They began talking on the phone on a regular basis and finally decided to go on a date. The date was perfect and next thing you know, they were moving in together. Jen moved in with Todd and Taylor in September of 2001. In the summer of 2002, Todd proposed to Jen, and they were married November 30, 2002.

In 2004, they sold their house in WA, packed up their Ford Expedition with 2 adults, 1 kiddo, 2 dogs, 2 hamsters, and moved to O'Fallon, IL where Todd was assigned to Scott AFB. In 2005, they welcomed their son, Josh. The next 4 years were full of love and adventures, but also some difficult times. Sometimes people don't continue down the same path and decide to go different ways, and that's what happened in this story, too. Todd and Jen went their separate ways in 2009. Todd moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL and Jen moved to Miami. They remained in touch for parenting purposes and always kept the lines of communication open. The Spring, Summer and Christmas breaks spent with Todd and Taylor grew harder for Josh over the years, so Jen decided to move closer. In 2017, Jen decided to pack up her Miami life with Josh and move to Fort Walton Beach.

Once Jen and Josh were settled, life ran much more smoothly, and everyone was happy again. Todd and Jen continued to be the world's best team at co-parenting and eventually found harmony in living in the same town again. After a couple years went by, Jen realized her heart still belonged to Todd and he was who she was meant to be with. She took him by surprise when she confessed to him her deepest, heartfelt feelings in the untimeliest manner. You see, Todd had just mentioned to Jen that he was getting divorced and before he could even finish telling her all the details, she blurted out that she was still in love with him. Needless to say, Todd needed some time to let it all sink in, but ultimately, he made the same confession. They took it slow for a while to make sure that continuing down the same path was best for them and their kids. In November of 2022, twenty years after they originally got married, Todd moved in Jen and Josh. Next thing you know, they were Todd & Jen again. Todd proposed to Jen for the second time on Christmas Day in 2023, by placing the ring in their original wedding capsule from 2002. He had been holding onto it all these years. As Jen opened the capsule, her eyes filled with happy tears and she said, "Yes!"...again.
