Our Story

Picture of Our Story

When we were little, the Hoffmanns came to Life Church where the Peltz's had been attending. Our families became heavily involved in the church and we each began to grow in our faith. We both participated in Junior Bible Quiz and Human Video together. During Fine Arts season Tom, Morgan, Elliot, and Emma formed a great friendship. Both of us began to notice each other as more than a friendship around the same time. Morgan and Emma talked about the boys in the youth group and Morgan began to look at Tom differently while one of Tom's friends pointed out how cute Morgan was and opened Tom's eyes. From that point on, it was obvious to everyone, whether we admitted it or not, that we both had feelings for each other. After years... of liking each other Tom finally decided it was time to ask Morgan out. He let Elliot in on the secret and asked Morgan out after youth group in a Dairy Queen parking lot on August 7th, 2019. Morgan had been waiting for this moment for a while, so it took her a long time to believe it was actually happening. We were both nervous for our first relationships but very excited. After one year, Morgan went away to Moorhead for college and we had our first year of long distance. The year after, Tom moved to Kansas for his schooling. Long distance was hard but phone calls, Facetime, trips home, surprise visits, and lots of prayers made it a lot easier. After Toms last fall semester, he came home early for a church dinner. Tom planned a breakfast date that morning and Morgan thought he might be proposing that morning. The morning came and went and no ring, so she figured that wasn't the day. That night, before dinner, Tom started getting fidgety. Of course Morgan was oblivious to every sign in front of her. We played a game that night where we were blindfolded and had to guess random items in a bag. Two people went first and then Morgan was "randomly selected" to go last. In the last bag, Morgan pulled out a ring box. She took off the blindfold and Tom was down on one knee. She said yes and we decided our wedding only made sense to have it in the church we grew up in. We are so excited to have you all join us and we thank you for the love, support, and roles you played in our love story!
