The Umstead Hotel and Spa Cary, NC

The Umstead Resort and Spa has accommodations, and we’ll also be sharing nearby hotel recommendations and room blocks on the Travel page. There will be an afterparty at Killjoy (116 N West St.) so we would recommend checking out hotels in downtown Raleigh if you plan to attend that. The Umstead is only 15mins away from downtown Raleigh.

The ceremony will begin at 5:00PM, so please arrive by 4:30PM to find your seat and enjoy the scenery!

The Umstead is about 15 minutes from RDU Airport. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) and valet parking are available at the venue.

Black-tie optional: Men can wear black-tie or dark formal suits with a tie. Women are encouraged to wear formal attire (think long dresses) in spring/floral color tones. Groomsmen will be in black-tie, and bridesmaids will be in floral pastels dresses!

Cocktail hour will follow the ceremony from 5:30-6:30PM Reception: 6:30–10:30PM with plated style dinner, dancing, and celebration!

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting, with the reception held indoors.

Hannah recommends a shawl over dresses incase it does turn chilly once the sun goes down.
