Welcome!

Welcome to our wedding website! We hope you find some helpful information here and learn a little more about us! We are so grateful you are visiting and are incredibly excited to share the adventures ahead with you!

If having trouble RSVPing, email Becky at RLMiller100@Gmail.com.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:7-12, 16-19

OUR STORY

Picture of OUR STORY

We met at the Boathouse Pub in Steamboat Springs in 2010. Tom was Becky's busboy ha. Becky was skiing competitively and Tom was studying at CMC. Our time sharing the same amazing community in Steamboat became the foundation for a rich friendship for the next 4 years. When Becky was in her third year at CU Boulder, Tom transferred into the Leed's School of Business at CU. Tom joined Becky at CRU events to find a community to plug into and soon was bugging Becky any chance he got. Tom learned quickly that when Becky said she could hang out, she actually meant studying. We could regularly be found making dinner together and doing homework- very exciting.

Around Thanksgiving of 2014, we expressed feelings for each other, but we waited until after finals to go out. Our first date was in Steamboat on December 23rd. We had an amazing dinner at E3 Chophouse, and then went ice skating. Tom wasn't very good and would pull Becky down when he fell. "smooth" Tom then took Becky to see his favorite (and secret) overlook of Steamboat springs at night, and we finished the night with nothing less than Star Wars Episode IV. From that point out, Becky was toast for Tom, and also die hard Star Wars fan! :)

When Tom and I very first talked about our feelings for each other, he told me he was going to marry me. I was very hesitant and said we'd see how things went. He was still so excited he asked, "Can I open all the doors for you now? Can we pray together??" haha I was a little slower to warm up to his energy, but am so thankful for all his intentional pursuit and spiritual leadership!

those dances moves tho

Before we were officially dating, Tom and I went to Fort Collins to go country swing dancing with some friends. Everything was going great, we were swing dancing to all the best country songs! Then the unimaginable happened: The music changed to rap and I turned to make my way off the dance floor searching for my friends. I look back and Tom is shimmying, shaking his booty and fully on breaking. it. down. I was so shocked I walked out of the place entirely.

After that experience, I asked that Tom calm down the dancing at the wedding of our good friends, Melissa and Stephen. At some point in the awesome dance party that night, I come out of the restroom to see Tom doing the "cotton eyed joe" with both feet in the air in front of a table of elderly people. Their eyes were so big! I'll never forget. Soon after, all of Stephen's Army friends made a circle around Tom and were yelling "do the knee thing Tom!! Teach me how to do the knee thing!" At this point, you could find me at the bar.

At our CRU winter conference, Tom led our Boulder CRU group in a Jane Fonda - esq workout routine dance. Fist pumping, running in place, squats - the works.

All this to say, Tom's dancing is epic. So bring your best dance moves and join Tom on the dance floor at Mary's Lake. And you can look forward to a very embarrassed Becky!
