January 24'

Alyssa worked with her beloved friend, Heather, who had done a photoshoot as a model for a group of wedding event planners who coordinated events to promote wedding venues, photographers, and other vendors on social media, Maye Events. In the next photoshoot, Heather had reached out to the same group to include Alyssa in this event to take place in July 24'.

February 24'

Tom had schemed up a proposal idea with Heather over the phone to coordinate details and plan the proposal to occur on the same day as the photoshoot with Maye Events.

March 24'

Tom worked out the details with Maye Events to begin the planning and timeline of the day in July! This occurred over many strategically planned phone calls and emails not to spoil the surprise.

April 24'

Tom, after working from 7pm to 7am in Midland, drove to Bay City to work with another one of the Maye Events vendors, First Look Bridal Boutique & Tuxedo. Tom was fitted for a navy tuxedo for the special day in July!

May 18th

Tom and Alyssa went wedding ring shopping after Free Play Sand Day in Mount Pleasant at Silverberg Jewelers!

June 26th

Tom conveniently has a dentist and doctor's appointment (as an excuse to go to Mount Pleasant without Alyssa) on the day the ring was bought!

July 24th

The ring arrives without a hitch! It sparkles in the sun and Tom knows it is exactly what Alyssa dreamt of.

July 30th

Today is the Day!

Tom is initially scheduled to work this day and was able to trade the day of work to be able to have this special day.

While getting ready for the event, Alyssa finds the tux Tom sneakily hid in the back of the closet and asks "what's this?" Tom had some reply of "Don't worry about it, it doesn't fit anymore anyways, it is an old suit" (he said during the only lie he has ever told in his whole life....).

Alyssa had left with Heather to head down to the event and begin the as-scheduled photoshoot event.

Tom, accompanied by another one of Alyssa's closest friends, Alli, drove down to the event, all dressed up in the provided tux with the ring!

The many photographers (12!) were fighting for the best angles to capture this memory for us at the end of the day, as the sun set over the lake!

All those involved in this proposal made it very special for both of us!
