Tommy found out about Michelle while living in the small town of Newaygo, MI. He had just recently moved there so he hardly knew anybody in the first few years. The vast majority of people he knew were at the gym. Long story short, he found out through the grapevine that Michelle’s brother-in-law attended the gym he was a member at. So one day after much earnest prayer, Tommy mustered up the courage to ask Josh about his sister-in-law Michelle. Josh told him that she was single and Tommy asked for her number. Being complete strangers to each other they texted for about a month, and Michelle eventually texted Tommy saying, “well if you want to go on a date with me you have to call me first.” Tommy called and they talked on the phone until the sun came up. So after having such a great conversation, they decided to go on their first date together at Smuggler’s Cove where they talked so much that the whole restaurant let them stay until the lights turned off. This was followed up by their second date of duck hunting together where Michelle went 5/5 not missing one single duck. From there on their love grew, growing in their faith in Christ together and hanging out every second they could, including fishing and hunting with their little dog Browning.
