If you know us then you know we are both total homebodies. Neither of us stray from our normal routine too much, so we don't have a "meet-cute" or a predictable hallmark story to tell. There was no stumbling upon a handsome man in the woods like Sleeping Beauty (trust me I would've ran for my life) and no kissing frogs. Still we both found a way to each other.
In the modern age of technology it's becoming more possible to connect with the world without having to stray from your every day routine. This sounds easier than it really is. Between the bots and the pervs on these dating sites I had almost given up hope that I'd ever meet anyone worth talking to much less date... then I saw Josh.
His profile had a few pictures of him with Sam (groomsman) and a racoon meme. His bio said "looking for people to vibe with or whatever floats your boat." Ok so he's definitely not a bot with a profile like that and he's cute so I might as well swipe right... It's a match!
We talked all day and night for the next few days. It was a Saturday and we planned a date for the following Saturday. By that night I told him I liked talking to him and didn't want to wait a whole week to meet him so we moved our date to the next day. Now we had to figure out what we were going to do on such short notice and around the plans we already had.
Josh wanted to come over to my house and bring me dinner. At this point he is a strange man that I met on the internet and I don't even know if he is even real. I am NOT giving him my address! He could be a murderer! (spoiler alert I survived.) I told him he had to meet me in public, sit through the dumbest kid movie that's in theatres and if I'm comfortable and he doesn't kill me then he could come over and we could watch Breaking Bad. So we went to the movies and saw D.C. League of Super-Pets. I let him come over and the rest of our date lasted 10 hours. I got 1 whole hour of sleep before I had to go to work but we did it again the next day. For our second date he brought me chicken tenders and he gave me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers. He was actually the first man (besides my dad... doesn't count) to get me flowers. We started officially dating 3 days later and now here you are on our wedding website!
