Did you know that the Bride and the Groom actually went to middle school together? Michaela started middle school at East Irondequoit however her and her family moved to a different district so Tony & Michaela never really got to speak when they were in 6th grade. You'll hear Michaela often refer to Tony as the cute boy 6 lockers down from her.

In 2014, Tony messaged Michaela on Instagram and struck up a conversation with her. After a week or so of texting back and forth, Michaela unfortunately lost interest as Tony didn't really use many exclamation points or emojis and everyone knows that those two things are a must in texting conversations! So, with regret, Michaela simply ghosted Tony because she wasn't really feeling the connection. About a week later, Tony picked up the conversation right where they left off as if Michaela didn't just ignore him (talk about persistence)! They started texting again and eventually they were talking about all of their favorite things. At the time, Michaela’s favorite movie series were the Jason Bourne movies as she always watched them with her dad so they held a special place in her heart! Michaela didn't think those movies were that popular so imagine her surprise when Tony said those were also his favorite movies before he even knew they were also hers! That’s when Michaela thought “okay, there may be something here worth exploring!”.

From there, texting turned into phone calls, phone calls turned into hours of them hanging out together and Tony & Michaela have been each other’s person since January 21st, 2015.
