How We Met ~Kimberly’s Version
I was immediately drawn into Tony’s confidence & charm. He had this smirk that would send a flock of butterflies to my tummy.
One day while working together, he invited me to Dave & Busters for our coworkers bday. I showed him up on multiple arcade games (he will deny it for life 🤭) and I think that’s where he fell in love. My grace and athleticism 😆
Fast forward a couple weeks of seeing each other every day, we went on a date to the conch house on Friday the 13th, and he asked me to be his girlfriend 🥹
When I fell in Love ~ Kimberly’s Version
I moved into a new apartment shortly after we started dating.
Tony hand built so many pieces of furniture for me & Daisy. I was so impressed, and so grateful.
One day in particular, my grandmas birthday, the first one without her with me earth-side, Tony went and bought a patio set for my apartment. Including these two rocks (that I have to this day) and her favorite hibiscus plant.
When I tell you, my heart shattered into a million pieces.
I am so grateful for Tony & the amazing man he is. This is just one of MANY MANY MANY shows of love that I have been blessed with. I knew then that he was the man I was going to marry.
Our Love Story ~ Tony’s Version
When I first saw Kimberly, I told my friend that she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Ever since that day she's always been in my heart and on my mind. There isn't really much more you can ask in life than the love of a beautiful woman and somehow I got lucky enough to have that. I knew I wanted to marry Kimberly only a few dates in. What can I say? She swept me off my feet. From her selflessness, to her beautiful smile, I can't pick one bad thing about my future wife. She's all I've ever wanted, and all I've ever dreamed of. She's my peace, and I'm her biggest fan. I know she's the one because she's more than just a girlfriend, fiancé, future wife to me. She's my best friend. If this world falls apart and I only have her, I know I'll be okay. She's my ride or die and I'm hers. I have her back no matter what in this world and my love for her has no boundaries. I have been blessed to have her in my life and I thank God everyday that she's going to be my future wife. Cheers to growing old with you, Kimberly Anne Dodaj.
The Engagement Story
This particular weekend, we took *what I thought* was a spontaneous trip to our fave place, Sarasota. We revisited our favorite beach spot, lunch spot, and planned to watch the sunset and get some oysters ! Without my knowledge, Tony was capturing pictures of me being completely oblivious to the ring box he was holding in his hand (these are the best 😂). One of me sleeping on the beach, me drying my hair in the hotel, and finally at sunset.
Tony had a bandaid on his palm ✋🏼 the entire time, and kept changing it. He had said he cut it at work & I really paid it no mind - I was just very ready to get on the road 😂😂 Turns out, he had gotten tattooed “will you marry me?” 🥹 he asked me to check his “cut” while we were on the beach, and I was SHOCKED reading what his hand said.
He cried, I cried, the ring was everything I could ask for AND MORE. Seriously . The best feeling ever is saying yes to your forever best friend.
