Tony and Christie’s journey began with a prayer — a heartfelt plea for a love that was different, one directed by God. Both were weary of finding love and the online dating scene, which had left them feeling disappointed and disillusioned. Yet, as if guided by divine timing, their paths crossed in the most unexpected way.

On March 25, 2024, Tony and Christie met through an online dating app. Tony, feeling discouraged and ready to delete his account, was scrolling through his feed when a picture of Christie appeared at the top of his profile. He paused, captivated by her beauty and the accomplishments highlighted in her profile. Despite this initial impression, Tony hesitated. Lacking the confidence to reach out, he didn’t match as a friend right away. Yet, each time he opened the app, her picture seemed to reappear, as if calling out to him.

Finally, after seeing her photo multiple times, Tony decided to take a leap of faith. He matched with Christie as a friend and sent her the first message. Meanwhile, Christie was having a similar experience. Disheartened by her own online dating journey, she was on the verge of deleting her account. But on that fateful day, something held her back. Just before she could deactivate her profile, a notification popped up — a new friend match from Tony.

Intrigued, Christie reviewed Tony’s profile. There was something warm and genuine in his smile, something that made her pause. Feeling a spark of curiosity and hope, she decided to respond to his message. We had their first date five days later and it was the best date ever. We both knew we had something special and only time would tell....

What began as a simple exchange quickly blossomed into a deep friendship. Over time, our connection grew into a beautiful relationship, one rooted in God’s guidance, mutual respect, honesty, and love for one another and our families. On December 25, 2024 (nine months later) Tony proposed to Christie and she said YES!!!! Our story serves as a testament to faith, patience, and the unexpected ways God’s plans unfold.

We hope our love story reminds us all that even in moments of doubt and discouragement, miracles can happen when we least expect them. Sometimes, all it takes is a little faith and the courage to take the first step.
