From Tori: We met in 2008, at Waffle House, Michelle caught my ear when she was telling another guest that she didn't even know what a grit was until she moved to the south, and that she was from upstate NY. THAT'S ALL IT TOOK. When I turned around this beautiful woman standing there, was way out of my league, but I still found the courage to ask..... oh yeah? Where in upstate NY are you from? Cuz I'm from upstate NY. The answer I got... A small city you probably haven't heard of, called Kingston. Even though I thought she was wayyyy out of my league, it didn't stop me. With help from friends, we frequented Waffle House every chance we could, when she would work. I tried to impress her with extravagant tips, flowers, paid her cell phone bill without her knowing, I WAS A CREEP. Michelle would throw out the flowers, but kept the money, she was so smart about that one. Eventually she lowered her defenses and came over to my apartment. The whole encounter started with Tennis and moved to water fights inside the apartment.... and yes, pitchers of water got EVERYWHERE. We started a beautiful friendship from that point and started hanging out, going to the lake, trips to the mountain. We could just sit and talk for hours. I proposed to this beautiful woman in the Cohutta Mountains, near Lake Conasauga on a really cold 2a.m. morning, mid-December 2008. We've raised 4 Beautiful children together since then, Brandon, Caitlin, Jonathan and Steven. We have 3 Grand Children, Elijah, Dayker and Rowan. We've had our fair share of ups and downs, but through it all, LOVE has prevailed. We are soul mates, committed in love to each other, today, tomorrow, and forever.
From Michelle: Tori is the love of my life. I didn't realize at the time when we met, how much I needed him to save me the way he did. I worked at Waffle House at the time. I am the mother of four amazing children, from a previous disastrous marriage. I was in a terrible situation when Tori and I met. He didn't care about my past, he didn't care about the horrible mistakes I had made, he didn't care about my crazy. All he wanted to do was love me. It took him awhile to break through all the walls I had built, but he was patient, kind, and loving. He drew me in with his playfulness, his gorgeous smile, his incredible personality, and his unlimited selflessness. He completely and unexpectedly changed my life FOREVER. He made me a better woman in every way. He stole my heart, and there isn't any way I am ever letting this incredible man go.
